Went to London for a fun weekend. The hotel was clean, beds were great, location was perfect (close to the metro stop, pubs, restaurants, historic and turist spots). Breakfast was good. Wifi was way to slow and had to upgrade. Thanks you to the PILTBH for making the weekend so wonderful!

Just back from a 2 night stay. The hotel is in a great location a stone's throw from Tower Bridge. The room was very clean and we had a cracking view of the Shard! The bed was super comfy as we have come to expect from the Premier Inn. We slept great. No noise at all! But without a doubt...

Great location, good clean no frills hotel with excellent customer service and extremely pleasant, well trained staff. The location is just a pleasant stroll to Tower Bridge, and adjacent tot he Financial centre Canary Warf. Easy to get in and out of the west end for shows and shopping. Every thing about this hotel was good with only one exception....

Premier Inn have never let us down. We are not familiar with that part of London, and a £100 taxi ride from the airport meant that it was going to be hard to make us happy. The girl on duty was extremely helpful. She booked a driver immediately to,take us back at the end of our stay, and at a...

Checked in around 10.30 pm. Nobody on reception and got key via the check in machine. Went to room. Corridor smelt so bad and room wasn't any better. Room smelt damp and beds also smelt and felt damp. Went back to reception to speak to someone. Nobody there. Slept in this room propped up by pillows and virtually sitting up...

This hotel is in an excellent location in zone 1. It is cheap and cheerful and represents excellent value for money. They have a quick check in process, you can even check in before you arrive. Friendly staff.

Our room was lovely, clean and warm. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was good value, both breakfast and dinner, and car park was very convenient. Is on a road but it's not a busy road, although our room was at the back so not sure about noise levels. We had a view of The Shard from our...

Staying in Southwark

Neighbourhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighbourhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
