If you're easygoing about strangers for roommates and not terribly picky, this place is perfect, especially for those on a student budget. I went with one friend and stayed in an female 6-bed shared room. Sometimes the people you stay with can be hit and miss, with a few minor inconveniences (we had several older ladies that would sleep a...

I loved staying here! I think I got a private twin room - which meant I had a bunk bed with USB ports built into the frame (clever!) and it came with doonas and pillows. I hired a fluffy towel from them and I can't remember what I paid but I got a few pounds back as bond which was...

What I liked about the place : the fact that we were about the only ones in the " corridor (26 people- no disturbances by other groups and we didn't disturb anyone either, the cleanliness of the rooms and showers, the location next to the underground, the pleasant and helpful staff. What we liked least :there could have been more...

Stayed here earlier this week for two nights with my children, great location and the room was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful (especially the female deputy manager she's a sweetheart) - no complaints. Food was yummy - the breakfast was good however, there is now no childs' breakfast option so you have to pay £4.99 which seems...

This is a good Youth Hostel on a reasonably quiet street, and with recently refurbished facilities. It has a members' kitchen where I cooked my own meals. I was in a 6-bed dormitory room - the bed was comfortable and the socket next to it even had USB ports for phone charging. There was a toilet and shower in the...

Hi Shiela, Thank you for providing us with feedback about your stay. It sounds like you had a great time and made the most of our location and facilities. This stay was awful. The manager did not take my concerns seriously. The staff was even patronising. Horrible service, no consistency and treat customers in a biased way. Housekeeping was rude and even harassing/intrusive at times. When I told the manager the room hadn't been cleaned she did nothing. She was committed to arguing every legitimate complaint I had. I...

The hostel is in a quiet neighborhood. Stayed in room 201. Room was clean and tidy. The common toilet is well kept and surprisingly clean for a hostel. The personal locker given is big enough to keep a cabin size luggage. Lounge is cosy and the staff are helpful too. More hooks in the dorm will be helpful.

The family room was good (although extremely warm), and we were nicely surprised by the cleanliness of the toilets and shower facilities! And the venue was in really good condition. Staff was nice and accommodating. The location is brilliant! Strongly recommended!

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
