Having stayed at the Thanet Hotel many times, as a business traveller I wouldn't stay anywhere else. Relatively central, close to the tube station, in a beautiful building. It's not a luxury stay but the price is really good and with breakfast included, it's one of the better hotel experiences I've had. The owners are really nice people and it...

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights to celebrate my wifes birthday. Unfortunately, the owners were away but the assistant manger was both polite and welcoming on our arrival. Our room was on the first floor, regrettably there was no lift but the offer was made to carry our cases. Our room was typically small as was the en...

You can't beat their location, quietness, breakfast, and price! The accommodations aren't fancy or plush, but they are quite adequate and clean. If you want plush, there is a Double Tree nearby, but you'll pay more than double Thanet's rates. This is the third hotel we've stayed at in this neighborhood, and this is the first one that I plan...

We have stayed at the Thanet numerous times over the past several years and it has been consistently good. The location really couldn't be better but over the years Bedford Place has become noisier. We were woken each of the 3 nights in the early hours of the morning by yelling and screaming from drunk people on the road. And...

Stayed here for 3 nights as family of 5 looking for cost effective yet central location. The thanet lived up to expectations of what we expected for what we paid and the kids loved the Harry Potter room (downstairs). Breakfast gives you a chance to meet people as well as start your day off well and there are enough restaurants...

The location of this hotel is great, making everything in the city easily accessible. I was in a single room on the top floor, which was very quiet. That being said, it was probably the smallest room I have ever stayed in at any B & B or hotel. While I spent very little time in the room, it really...

A lovely one night stay – for 3 ladies. Hotel is in a great location, it felt very safe. Was very easy to walk to Holborn and onwards to Covent Garden etc. Lovely cool room downstairs (it was a baking hot day & night) / 4 beds / very very quiet all night (we were probably the noisiest thing around...

Visited The Thanet for 2 nights recently. Exceptionally clean, comfy beds, great breakfast. Very close to British Museum, Underground, coffee shops, pubs and restaurants. Bloomsbury Gardens and Russell Square Gardens close by. Highly recommended.
