... I have been to Europe going solo 30 years ago and wanted to repeat the experience this time with a bit more money but still careful in spending it. Of course finding a comfortable/inexpensive place was the most challenge. Fortunately I bumped into Parkwood under TripAdvisor and the reviews were favorable. I had no trouble booking it five months...

This hotel located in one of the best parts of London, just a few minutes walk to some of the most important streets such as Oxford,Regent,Edgware road and also very good access to public transportation. All staffs are very kind and friendly and they help you when you need. This hotel is the only choice to accommodation for me in London.

First impression on entering the property was good, reception was prompt but once booked in was told our room 15 was on the top floor and there was not a lift and no one to help with our luggage. We had to climb 80 steps to our room which got steeper and steeper the higher we went. The room was...

We found the staff very helpful and friendly. We thought it was a great value. It had character, location, was very clean, it had everything we needed in the room and a good breakfast in a cozy breakfast room. We only had a couple of nights there and then we had to move to a bigger hotel as a part...

I received a very warm welcome at Reception and at breakfast, which was lovely. The hotel is over five floors with no lift and long, steep stairs. I was on the first floor and had a small wheelie bag, but even though I keep reasonably fit I was relieved not to have to go any higher. Avoid this hotel if...

I guess I was expecting a little more for 100 pounds a night, but can't complain too much. The rooms are small which can be expected for London, and a good central location with access to Marble Arch tube. I was there for only one night the front desk lady was really nice but the hostess did not seem very...

Stayed for 5 nights, Sept 1 and checked out Sept 6. OUTSTANDING location about a 1 minute walk to Hyde Park. There is a bus stop between the Parkwod and Hyde Park. 5 all but very manageable. The manager and several of the staff reside there too. Very reasonable rates for downtown London and it included all taxes and a...

We went to London and wanted a nice/safe room that was centrally located that didn't cost us an arm and a leg. The Parkwood at Marble Arch met all of our expectations. We wanted a room that had an "ensuite" bathroom(Bathroom in our room, I didn't want to share with other guests.) If you don't mind sharing a bathroom the...

We took a family vacation in April 2011 and stayed at the Parkwood at Marble Arch. What a wonderful place to stay. London is a fabulous place, but the treatment received at the Parkwood made the vacation that much better. The employees of the hotel were knowledgeable and extremely helpful in getting around the city. However, what made the Parkwood...
