this hotel is at functional as it gets...the location is perfect as its very central but that is about it... the room is your average hotel size but is in desperate need of a renovation. the breakfast was awful with the waiters totally disinterested in giving us a good service. the most irritating thing was that we arrived around 1230pm...

Upon arriving there were two Japanese tourists in front of us who were not so good at speaking English. The man at reception was very rude to them and almost began getting angry with them! It was absolutely disgusting behaviour and I felt embarrassed that he was one of their first experiences in my country. It was also shocking because...

I stayed here last summer with my sons for two days of sightseeing so all i wanted was a clean, friendly base within walking distance of central London. That's what i got, lovely rooms, placed next to each other (three sons 15,14 and 12 so didn't want them miles away but they are a bit old to share with mum)....

Stayed here purely as had vouchers to use and choice was limited. Decision was based on proximity to Euston as you can leave your luggage at a cost which I have never known any other hotel charge! Room basic although clean. Staff very curt bordering on rude. Breakfast was a joke with the food poor although after waiting in a...

This hotel has only one positive aspect. It's 5 mins waloing from Euston Station and 2 mins from Russell square, that is central London. Apart from its location it's overrated and overpriced. Poor rooms, holes on the walls, carpet with huge holes and smelly. Bathroom very small, no windows and not even a working aspirator. The room was very hot...

Lucky enough to get tickets for two, first week of Wimbledon. Therefore booked train, hotel (reserved on credit card) and the odd restaurant, two months before. 4 days before our trip, got a phone call from the hotel to say the credit card had been declined (there had been some fraudulent activity on the card in the interim and they...

I am not one to be naturally negative, I stay in a variety of hotels most weeks. I have never felt the need to be critical of premises who do their best for clientele - however...... On arrival, reception staff were obviously under pressure, even though there appeared to be others standing round with nothing to do.... I was allocated...

Large busy hotel Initial impression was desperately in need of a refurb. But the staff were always helpful ( if a bit deaf when you wanted coffee at breakfast). Room clean and mid sized. Very, very hot at night but I was on the top floor lower rooms might be better. Breakfast was fine but didn't eat any other meals...

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights in May. Mainly chose this hotel because of the location and the price. Our room overlooked Tavistock Gardens which was nice. Nice sized room, and fairly comfortable bed. Good that we could adjust the bedding to suit. Most hotels these days don't layer their beds, and you either have a sheet,...

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
