Located on Tavistock Square Gardens the hotel offers stunning views as well as offering remarkable value for a historic Bloomsbury hotel. A great choice for business or leisure guests. You will find the Woolf & Whistle - a friendly bar nestled in the Art Deco ground floor of the Tavistock Hotel. Retaining the hotel's original 1920's features with a modern and elegant twist, Woolf & Whistle takes its inspiration from the famous 20th century writer Virginia Woolf, who once lived and worked in the neighbourhood. Providing a welcoming haven to our guests, locals and visitors to the area; our pub serves classic cocktails alongside traditional pub favourites in a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere. After all, a wise woman once wrote, ‘’One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.’’ The Tavistock is perfectly located for the health club and American style bowling alley as well as the exciting sites of the capital.

Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.

I stay in the Tavistock every time I go to London (c. 3 times a year). It is in an exceptional location in walking distance from Kings Cross. This hotel is nothing especially luxurious, apart from the art deco lobby that I really quite like, but it is clean, functional and

Stayed for one night . Bed was sooo comfortable, and decent pillows. Bathroom a bit small but ok. Thought we'd go for early breakfast (8am) - so did everyone else! Qued 10 mins but was worth the wait.

This hotel is much better than Bedford and President of the Imperial Hotel chain. My room was OK on the 6th floor this time and the insulation was also acceptable. (At President the wind was blowing into my room.) The location was really fine, breakfast was OK and my room was

How far is from the airport ?
Depends which airport and time of day- from Heathrow I’d say an hour if you use the express/tube and walk. It’s about same from City - DLR then underground to Euston or Russell Square Never done it from Gatwick

There are lifts in the Tavistock. I have a mobility problem and I found the staff very attentive and kind during my stay.
