Yes, the rooms are small, the bathroom is even smaller. Yes, there is no elevator. And yes, the hotel is not sound-proof. But if you need a place with good location, clean rooms, good breakfast and very helpful and friendly staff then this is your hotel. The King's Cross tube is just 200 metres away. The bus stop of #59... More

Excellent service, very good breakfast, small but extremely clean rooms. The staff made the stay. Would highly recommend. Less than 100 yards from tube and EuroStar train station. Room was inexpensive by London terms, and this as well as many hotels in the area are in modified townhomes, so expect size accordingy. It's away from the tourist area, but keep... More

This hotel is a gem in central London. I was simply looking for an overnight stay near Kings Cross that was clean, well presented, and cheap (well... cheap in London terms!). I hit the jackpot with the Alhambra - it was everything I needed and was an excellent base for my recent trip to London. Facilities in my en-suite room... More

First of all, room is small. Very small. However, considering the price and the location, its acceptable. We had to open one luggage behind the hotel room door and the other luggage on the floor under the dressing table. They provided a fold-able luggage stand, but there's no room to use it. So we had to work our way around... More

Myself and my husband stayed overnight on a Saturday before an early morning Eurostar trip. The hotel was very convenient for St Pancras and there were lots of places locally to eat at. The room was clean and adequate, breakfast was excellent, and despite it being very busy nothing was too much trouble. However it was a bit of a... More

I'm so happy that I've found this hotel in London. I can gladly recommend it! We stayed in a triple and it was small but it got all we needed. Friendly staff and a tasty breakfast.

I stayed 15 nights at the Alhambra Hotel in late August/early September of 2011. It was comfortable, convenient, friendly, clean, and efficient. The room (one double bed) was small, but thoughtfully laid out. The fixtures and furniture (including a sink, LED light fixtures, and a wall-mounted flat panel TV) were modern and new, and the bed was comfortable. My room... More

The hotel was lovely, staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was quite small, but it had plenty of room for the bed and a small desk to work on. Very happy that I elected to have an en suite room. Free Wifi was a fantastic bonus! The location is great, so close to the underground, making it very... More

Aloha from Kaua'i! We stayed last week for one night at the Alhambra Hotel - it was a Paris vacation, but due to needing to fly out from Heathrow, we took Eurostar from Paris and booked one night at the Alhambra Hotel due to its proximity to St. Pancras Station as well as the great reviews that I'd read here... We selected Alhambra Hotel for its location and also based on other reviews and the hotel did not disappoint. Just around the corner from the Kings Cross station, we had access to several underground lines and were able to navigate the city really easily. The hotel itself was great. The room and bathroom were small (as we expected based on... More

Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
