I have stayed in many Hilton hotels around the world but this is the first time I've stayed in a DoubleTree and it didn't disappoint me in the slightest. Warm welcoming friendly staff, outstanding service to help with anything you could think of and a room I would expect from any any Hilton brand hotel. Flawless for the price and...

I stayed here for 4 nights in middle of January and paid $125 US dollars as a winter promo. Was allowed early check in and upgraded to Hhonors floor. The breakfast in the morning offered a nice selection of choices and had helpful staff. Great location only 5 minute walk from Gloucester and South Kensington tube stop. I would def...

This hotel wins on location, loses on mostly everything else. The staff are great, but the rooms and quality of breakfast is poor at best. The fitness center is the size of a small storage space. Within a 5 minute walking distance from the hotel there are literally more than 10 great restaurants. You are a 5 minute walk from...

Booked during Hilton's winter sale for a great price and couldn't have been happier. All staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room & bathroom were perfect! Recently refurbished and full of all the modern features you could ask for. USB charging, HDMI point, advanced room lighting, free wifi with HHonors, heating or air con. Very impressed. Breakfast was ok,...

Clean, friendly, the rooms and food were to the highest standards. The staff were always on hand, but not in your face. Good location for exploring West and Central London, 25 mins walk from Paddington through Hyde Park 5 minutes from Gloucester Road tube station, and an easy stroll into Kensington and Chelsea.

Definitely and excellent hotel, located 5 just minutes from the South Kensington station. Hence very easy access to London underground tube and piccadilly rail, made commuting around London very easy. Hotel experience was fantastic, room ambiance was good, the bathroom is well prepared with required toiletries. In room dinning was great, i enjoyed it. The feeling that good food would...

Apart from minor points the hotel was very comfortable and the service and personnel were more than satisfactory. All meals (breakfast and dinner) were of good quality and cuisine, served by very friendly staff. We were especially pleased by the location of the hotel, close to major museums and art galleries and with good access to public transport.

The cookies are a nice touch. The hotel is in a convenient location. The rooms are average. The breakfast is poor. It is a poorly done British breakfast. If it is included in your room rate good luck. The eggs are one kind, scrambled and runny. The breakfast service is almost non-existent. I think the charge like 18 pounds. If...

We had previously stayed in this hotel when it was the Regency and looked forward to a return stay. Disappointing! Renovations provided modern décor (much like putting lipstick on a pig) but the hotel's comfort had markedly deteriorated. Good aspects included the excellent hotel location, the breakfast, and the staff that was friendly and tried to make things right but...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
