We normally stay at the sister hotel The Pheonix Hotel next door but were offered accommodation at The Kensington after leaving the booking a bit late! What a treat - lovely rooms and you can still use the bar facilities at the Pheonix. Highly recommended

Overall, I very much enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I had a double bed and en suite toilet/shower (Room 14). The room was small and did not have a view (other than that of walls and windows of other rooms/buildings), but from what friends staying at a nearby hotel said, that seems to be par for the course. As...

Arrived last minute after original hotel cancelled an hour before arriving. Staff were all extremely friendly, always polite and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Hotel and our room was very clean and comfortable with fresh bedding and towels every day. Hotel was in a fab location just a 5mins walk from bayswater tube station and a 10mins walk from...

Small room up many stairs, but fresh, clean. My room was budget price due to toilet on landing, but worth the saving for those who are not hung up on this. Shower was ensuite. Great location, courteous staff, tastefully decorated without trying to be pretentious. Comfortable tasteful lounge area. Good breakfast. I will return.

Booked the single room with private facilities for 1 night. Rowshanak the lady who works at the reception greeted me when I arrived, very friendly and helpful and was a pleasure to talk to. The room was very clean. Furnishings looked new and so did the facilities. Hotel was very secure and felt very safe. Would definitely recommend staying here.

I stayed on the top floor, so be prepared to lug your bags up if you have to. The hotel is tastefully decorated. My room was small but not bad for London though I have had a bit bigger. My room had a shared toilet. My shower was more of a luke warm mist than a shower so if you...

Very clean and in a quiet location! Easy access to the Underground with several stations to choose from. In order to obtain our room key outside of those hours, we needed to go next door to their sister hotel Phoenix Hotel....

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
