We stayed for 3 days in August and had a great experience it was friendly staff helpful, great room. It added to the overall experience of our visit to London. We walked to NottingHill and caught the tube into the city. Shopped ,took a bus tour and visited some landmark places. It was always a good feeling to return to...

This is an older hotel with narrow stairs and small rooms, but the location is wonderful, my single room with bath was clean (if a little overheated...I had to open the window all night) and the staff were tremendously helpful! I think that considering the price it is a great place to stay as long as you realize that if...

I stayed in a single room on the 3rd floor with a shared toilet (shower was in room). It was hot and I was drinking water like there was no tomorrow and the frequent trips to the bathroom never had me running into anyone else or waiting in the hallway. And they were always clean. Rooms are small, but there's...

We stayed in this hotel for 5 days last week and I have so many things to moan about. First of all we had a tiny room, there was no space to open our luggages and the curtains were ripped of. It was on the third floor so we had to drag our luggages up the stairways which are too...

I just stayed at this hotel for a 2 day business trip. The good: Close to many restaurants, shopping, and pubs. Clean. Stairs are not that big of a deal, unless you have a humongous heavy suitcase. 6mps free wi-fi The bad: Paper thin walls -- I could hear every cough, and every time the person in the room beside...

Great Hotel and location is excellent. Although I had to go to the hotel next door (The Phoenix Hotel) to check in. That was a posh hotel. Still the Kensington Gardens Hotel is nice and very comfortable. But no toilet in the room and I had to share one on the landing with the other guests in the hotel. Which...

I stayed in a standard single room for one night, and was surprised to find that I had to leave the room and go down a flight of stairs to get to the toilet (booked via Expedia, no indication of this on the booking so be careful...). I didn't ask to move since it was late and already my second...

I just returned from a overnight trip to London and we stayed here. It was great. Bustling neighborhood, plenty of reasonable food choices, close to Bayswater and Queensway Tube stops. Would stay here again if we return. Typical European rooms, small but it sleeps. Rowshanak at the front desk is an amazing host, offering dinner suggestions, advice on the underground....

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
