When in London, we use to go to nearby Phoenix hotel; this time it was full, so we choose its "sister" hotel. And must say that the choice was very good. The hotel looks recently renovated, and the room we had, on the top of the building, was probably the most spacious I ever had in central London, same with...

What a lovely hotel. Visited London for three days with friends and stayed at Kensington Gardens Hotel which we booked on-line. We were not disappointed when we arrived, we shared a room which was very clean, bright & newly renovated. Beds were very comfortable, bathroom was gleaming, had tea/coffee facilities also. Does not have restaurant or 24 hr reception but...

This is a must stay hotel in London. Minutes from Kensington Palace and Hyde Park. The staff from the time you arrive until you leave is amazing!!!! You can walk to the tube or they can call a cab for you and have better rates than most. I highly recommend staying at this hotel. The rooms are clean and comfy...

For the price you pay this hotel got everything you need. Very small room but comfy. Everything was perfectly cleaned, upon arrival and during our stay. Located in a nice neighborhood with 2 metro stations close by (5min walking). I definitely recommand it, and will gladly stay there again!

We had an enjoyable stay at this boutique hotel which is located close to the London Underground stations of Bayswater and Queensway. Walks in Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park are fun. The receptionists were kind and helpful.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of Kensington Gardens hotel; we are sorry that you were disappointed on this occasion. It is well advertised on all channels selling our rooms, that Kensington Gardens Hotel is a basic 2 star property. The Hotel is lovely and well worth the price. I contacted them before I arrived in London to ask if I could tentatively extend my stay from the two nights I originally booked. The wonderful staff contacted me and said they would keep a room if they had a cancelation. I can't speak highly enough of the beautiful lady on...

Nicely located near two tube stations, Bayswater and Queensway. Spotless clean, recently refurbished, very nice service and kind people. I stayed in apt. number 10 which is a small single with shower in suite. There are some perks: clean towels, new soap bars, shampoos and conditioner every day. Also the kettle and hair dryer work fine and they supply some...

We needed a place to crash after seeing a show at the Royal Hall, given that most of London is expensive, the ~£80 for a night was a fair price. The hotel is located just north of Kensington Gardens, and has close tube stations and shops. It seems to be paired with another hotel two doors down, as check in...

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
