Earlier this week my wife and I met our younger daughter in London and went to The Library County Hall for afternoon tea. Served in the old GLC library tables overlook the River Thames and the Palace of Westminster. The staff were very welcoming and...More
With a first class view of Big Ben and the Thames the view was to die for! We booked for free flowing bubbles and afternoon tea for my friend's 60th birthday surprise. We were a party of five. The food and service were truly exceptional....More

Have stayed here several times over the past 10 years, and am a Platinum Rewards guest. The (fairly) newly re-furbished rooms are holding up nicely thanks to high quality materials throughout, excellent housekeeping services, and good overall size. Location of course can’t be beat for...More
This hotel is walking distance from Westminster and Waterloo tube station. It is right next to the London Eye. The location of this hotel made it very convenient for us to travel around London. We stayed for 6 nights. Staff is very friendly as well.
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and
festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.

The bell staff are very high profile and helpful, so yes, you will be able to check your bags. Breakfast in the restaurant is excellent as will a walk along the Thames help your jet lag. My expereimce with LONDON hotels is that if there is a room available, they will let go check in. This will be before the cleaning staff starts work, so it will all be about the % of capacity the night before. Two ways to be sure of early check in: book the night before; or call the hotel to see if they can guarantee and early check-in. EnjoyLondon.
