They say London hotel rooms notoriously small, but not so at Crown Plaza. Very nice hotel and rooms, 1 short block from the Tube. The staff was accommodating with our room request. One stop away is South Kensington with lots of nice shops and restaurants, and the V & A Museum. Hop on, Hop off bus stop also just across...

we had a great time at the Crowne Plaza - it is comfy, convenient, has an excellent location (especially if you are a fan of the Natural History museum - which we are), good transport (nearby tube station and buses), close to supermarkets, coffee shops and restaurants. The staff is helpful, the room large, we had a nice view to...

Nice hotel that was close to the Underground which made gettin around very easy. Our air conditioning wasn't working but was taken care of once it was brought to their attention. My only real complaint was the very poor lighting in the bathroom, which made putting make up on very difficult. There was a makeup mirror, but it was in...

Three days here. Lovely place, good breakfast and a quiet sleep. My only complaint was the lighting in the bathroom. If you are a lady you will want to take a lighted makeup mirror. There is a magnifying mirror in the bathroom on the wall but even my 6' husband couldn't use it. Not actually sure what it is meant...

Beautiful hotel located in a convenient London neighborhood. Gloucester Road station is about a 3 min walk away and there are a number of good restaurants and coffee shops to choose from all within walking distance. The rooms itself were very comfortable and the staff were extremely friendly. They left little chocolates and cookies in the room daily which was...

An ideal spot for access to the Underground, just around the corner from Gloucester Road station. Walking distance to Kensington High Street, Royal Albert Hall, museums and Knightsbridge. Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
