Great room, comfy bed, nice size room. Brilliant location next to Queensway Tube and opposite entrance to Hyde Park. Breakfast was good. Aubaine Brasserie/lounge was a great place for business lunch. Highly recommend. Staff very helpful.
We had originally booked into the Hilton London Metropole however having read the reviews we changed to the Hilton Hyde Park and it was definitely the right move! The location is perfect. Literally next door to the tube and opposite the gate into Hyde Park. We parked in Westfield and got the tube however then realised there is plenty of nearby free on street parking after 12.30 on a Saturday until 08.00 Monday morning. Just have to search a little but we spotted lots of spaces. Check in was very friendly and we even managed to check into our room early (107 which is large and well appointed). Table service for breakfast was very good with a super choice of food and one of the best cooked breakfasts I have had. Every single member of staff was very kind and courteous. Highly recommend this hotel…
Extremely confusing service in check in. Check outeven worse. Never received my invoice over email. I asked the company address to be added to the invoice. No email, invoice was incorrect and no company name. Breakfast was mediocre. If you like bread, then fine. No glutenfree products. Room was super small. Bathroom freezing cold. Despite being on 3 floor alot of noise from the street Only good thing was comfortable bed and closeness if the underground
We often stay in this hotel for a treat but this time I booked a room with breakfast. The room was the usual high standard and we enjoyed a view of the park but I was not impressed by the breakfast offering. The breakfast room has no natural light and is far too small for the size of the hotel. I was also expecting a chef to cook eggs to order, maybe an omelette, waffles or pancakes, but sadly this service was not available. I have stayed in lesser hotels who have chefs working in the breakfast room. For the price I paid this was most disappointing. The coffee machine was small with limited choice, The cheeses and pastries were sparse in choice. And no halal meat options which I find odd considering its location. I will stay again but no breakfast; there are much better options in the area.…
Awful, truly awful. This place is conning people by using the Hilton name it doesn't deserve. The worst hotel I have ever stayed in, I have stayed in Australian hostel's cleaner than this. I had booked the 'Dome Suite' for a 50th Birthday, which totally ruined the wonderful day of fine food, drinks and a show. The internet pictures must have been from a long time ago as its not like them at all. The layout is terrible, the 'Dome room' is up a hidden narrow flight of stairs, that, as soon as your start climbing them you get the smell. There's terrible dampness and mould in the room, water runs down the inside of the windows, which has led to lots of mould and wallpaper peeling off. You pay a premium price and you expect to get what you pay for, here, that is not the case and you don't even get breakfast included. The smell of cigarette smoke and 'weed' throughout is strong. When I complained to the only person I could find, he was very embarrassed, as he already knew how bad it was. We were offered a much smaller room, which I declined as I didn't want to appear to be satisfied in anyway. Hopefully I can add pictures that I took of the room to show how terrible it really is. Do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else.…
We have been to trader Vic's for the last time December 2022. Hilton has closed an iconic bar with such rich history and decor that is a shameful thing, petitions haven't worked and they don't care about what this place meant and means to those who love the culture and mid century history behind Trader Vic's. Hilton you have got rid of the oldest tiki bar to exist!! Those who have been and frequent know what a hideous decision you have made. Shame on you.
Imagine being a bog-standard bland hotel in London which was no different from all the others in the city. Then imagine having a jewel in the crown which set you apart from all the others: A cultural jewel of 20th century style. A treasure trove of Polynesian Tiki design which would attract visitors from all over the globe and see you playing host to royalty and dignitaries who came because you were special and unique in London. Then imagine throwing that all away in favour of a “refresh” which would no doubt leave you with yet another soulless dining space competing with all the others in the city. Your management are merely the current custodians of this iconic venue that is Trader Vics. It’s future is a cultural responsibility which should not be left to the ignorant hands of the bean-counters. Commercial madness? For sure.…
I stayed at this hotel for four nights. I was assigned room 408. Service - One of the highlights of this hotel. All four front desk staff members I interacted with were very helpful, friendly, and welcoming. They are diverse and multilingual. Room - My room faced Bayswater Road / Kensington Garden / Hyde Park. It was SUPER small, something I expected from a hotel in a large urban city. The bathroom was equally as small. It was just me, so the size of the room was not a deal breaker because it had a nice view of the park, was exceptionally clean, super comfortable bed, safe, mini-refrigerator (that did not work very well), and had all of the modern amenities you come to expect from the Hilton brand. Hotel Information - The hotel has 126 rooms and five floors. The hotel is a boutique Edwardian-type of hotel. The lobby is unassuming and very small. I do not rate hotels on the size of their lobby. The breakfast buffet in the restaurant was wonderful. Location - The most perfect location in the city of Westminster in central London! It sits directly on top of the Queensway Underground Station (Central / Red Line). The Bayswater Underground Station (District / Green Line and Circle / Yellow Line) is also very close by. It is located at the intersection of Bayswater Road and Queensway (B411). Queensway is home to tons of restaurants. There are many ethnic restaurants a short walk away….Brazilian, British, Bubble Tea (multiple), Chinese (multiple), Greek, Indian (multiple), Indonesian, Italian (multiple), Italian Gelato, Juice Bar, Malaysian, Middle Eastern, Russian and Eastern European Deli, Syrian, Thai (multiple), Uzbek, and chains such as Pret A Manger, KFC, Burger King, Subway, McDonald’s, and Starbucks. There is a casino, multiple ethnic and regular convenience stores and grocery stores, a place to eat, bowl, and ice skate, and Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. I highly recommend this hotel if your travels take you to London! …
Am sure I will get the standard response about the "....historical Grade II listed Edwardian Townhouse" however, I feel the need to offer the experience of my parent's 2 night stay last weekend. At the cost of £764 (not including breakfast). In truth, I booked this in a hurry and thought it would be ok if slightly expensive, given it was a Hilton. I assumed I was paying the 'last weekend before xmas' premium. It was extremely poor, overpriced and the accommodation, tired and worn. The park view room was freezing cold on arrival and the 2nd floor corridor stank of cigarettes. Frankly, I was expecting a lot more from a Hilton hotel. A shabby room in a listed building is still just a shabby room, despite the fact it's in a listed building. My complaints resulted in an equally tired and worn looking replacement offer on the 4th floor but this provided no improvement. If you are looking for a pleasant hotel in a prime London location, I would look elsewhere and would avoid thinking this will be good value for money (as its a Hilton). The interior and soft furnishings look very tired and in need of investment. The revolving door was even broken when my parents stayed, contributing to the poor guest experience. The restaurant food was actually quite good and the staff friendly and attentive, however, this was no compensation for the poor quality of the stay. …
Have been staying in this hotel many times in past years and every time I feel that the front desk staff are mostly intern. Most of them are not well versed in English probably and not helpful since they are either too green or not familiar with the country.
