A little find over near the Carlton Tower, now undergoing complete renovations. Some rooms already beautifully restored, some still to be. A couple of rooms have outdoor private entrances. There are also two rooms with separate inside entrances which adjoin a private little reception area, good for families or two couples. Lots of care taken in the restoration, which should...

Great place for couples or the single traveller. I stayed for one night only and had a wonderful room, unlike any other hotel room I've had lately; filled with antiques and more like a bedroom in an English country house. I loved the ambience of this place, the old world feel and calm atmosphere. And yet it's seconds away from...

A recent one-night stay proved to be fine though disappointingly average. True that a major renovation was ongoing and that the hotel was clad in scaffolding. I arrived at 10am and my room was initially not ready despite the hotel's half occupancy. Upon expressing some dismay, my early check-in was granted but without ungraciously being made to feel that I...

What a Lovley little hideaway the staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us .the drinks were pricey but still a nice atmosphere for relaxing in London an out side seating area to have a cigarette .the breakfast I have to say was one of the best I've had in London .i would definitely stay here again.

Love No 11! Got upgraded to a suite. The view was of construction going on behind but this didn't detract from my stay. Lovely old fashioned bathroom with huge bath. Comfy bed. Fantastic location with access to private garden. Staff especially concierge bend over backwards to help. Delicious breakfast, excellent sausages.

No. 11 Cadogan Gardens is currently under extensive renovation, but one would never know it from inside one's room. I stayed in an un-renovated superior room, which should be the bottom of the barrel, and it was lovely. The superior rooms are small but perfect for one person -- King bed, large closet, bay window with window seat, big TV,...

Stayed here during the summer and loved it. The location of the hotel is perfect as we were walking to Kings Street quite often. The rooms were big enough and the beds were very comfy. Hotel is great for anyone looking for a nice family stay or solo trip within walking distance to a thriving Kings Street.

Love, live, love this hotel. You feel as if you are a guest in a private home in the midst of the city rather than a customer in an impersonal hotel. The location is convenient for both walking and taking the tube. There are a number of charming restaurants within walking distance. The bar in the hotel was wonderful. Every...

Staying in Chelsea

Neighbourhood Profile
Chelsea
Wealth courses through The King's Road, Chelsea's upmarket artery of West London life packed with shops, eateries and glitzy nightspots. For people-watching at its best and luxury retail therapy that's largely unrivalled, this area cannot be missed. But if this showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal a quieter side of Chelsea. Here the stately Royal Hospital hosts its world-famous flower show, and the Thames rolls along at a lazy pace, with leafy Battersea Park and its Peace Pagoda beckoning from across the river.
