We stayed here for my husband's birthday. We arrived just before midday and thanks to the lovely lady on the desk we were able to check into our room. She even gave us a voucher for a free drink at the sky lounge. Room wasnt massive but was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. Breakfast next morning was...

Spent 2 nights here in an executive room on the 9th floor. Sadly out Views were restricted. Hotel is very close to the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. Room was very comfortable, nice bed and pillows. Well stocked bathroom with mini toiletries. The 12th floor sky lounge is an asset offering views over the river and surrounding buildings. The...

1. The rooms are really small and very basic. No decor - no mini bar - tiny bathroom. 2. The elevators tend not to work properly - got stuck 2 times in two days. 3. Breakfast - standard 4. 12 fl bar - good. 5. Poor value for money - go across the street.

We stayed here at the end of December and enjoyed our stay. The hotel lobby is beautiful, but the rooms and hallways lack a little in the pretty department. The elevators were sometimes a pain because you needed a key to access and it did not always work the first time. The location was great and close to the subway...

Perfect location and service for a decent and lovely journey... Must be first choice for a stay... Breakfast queue can be long for peak times and you could wait for a table longer then you expect but staff attitude makes you to forget it.

Stayed here in December after a work's Christmas Party and I was impressed with how nice and modern the hotel was. The front desk staff were very helpful (I was quite intoxicated) and let me leave a key behind reception for my boyfriend who was at a separate party & arriving later that evening. Will be staying here again when...

We enjoyed our stay and really enjoyed the sky lounge and the food. and ambience up there. The negative point is a hotel of this size and Reputation to run out of white bread by 9.15am on a Sunday morning.

Dear "barbarahC9743KG" Thank you for your review, it is great to learn of your wonderful experience up in our Skylounge. I sincerely apologise for the short falls you experienced during breakfast, this has been highlighted to both the Chef and our Food + Beverage manager to avoid any further re-occurrences. I do hope that you will not solely judge us...

If you are staying in London for a few days this is a nice option. Everything is very clean. My room was nothing to rave about, but it was spacious, and clean. Having no view it was also devoid of any hooks. Check in was smooth, efficient and friendly, I liked the warm cookie idea. The facilities are very nice....

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
