My daughter and I have just returned from a one night stay at Hazlitt's Hotel and really must share how fabulous the whole experience was from start to finish. It was my daughter's birthday so I wanted to take her somewhere memorable and Hazlitt's did not disappoint in any way. From the outside of Hazlitt's It is impossible to imagine...

From start to finish, each person I had the opportunity of meeting at Hazlitt's was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Even the workers that were doing a bit of remodeling during the day could not have been more polite. I was allowed to check into my room a bit earlier than expected, but while I waited for that confirmation I was...

This is the place to relax in the centre of London. A hidden gem in a rather buzy area of SoHo. Very close to everything, and it feels like coming home when you return from a walk around all those interesting places in London. Excellent service, comfortable beds, delicious breakfast and a perfect place to calm down. Thank you to...

My husband and I stayed here for my 30th birthday late February. From the very beginning it was a truly lovely and wonderful experience. We stayed in the junior suite and my word!! It was utterly beautiful. We had a small issue with the toilet (to be expected from an old room and old fittings) and the staff sorted it...

We loved this little slice of history in SoHo! Such an inspiring and beautiful place - it feels more like you're staying at a rich uncle's house than a hotel. The service was excellent and the honor bar was great. We stayed in the Madame Kennedy room, Which was beautiful and spacious, and a good view of the street. The...

We booked this hotel using Expedia and based on reviews were a bit anxious about what we would find beyond a lovely and accommodating staff. The uneven floors noted by others were minimal and easy to navigate; there was an elevator in the portion of the hotel we occupied; the carpets were clean and seemed to have been reasonably new;...

I stayed at Hazlitt's with my wife and young daughter. We loved this charming and central hotel, the staff is extremely attentive and helpful. My daughter loved the cat and the cookies staff offered in the evenings. There's a wonderful library filled with books of visiting writers. We felt very comfortable there.

Location is great - walking distance to a lot including good shopping, food, pubs, and theatre district. The hotel is very quaint, old but well maintained, and has a lot of charm. I really enjoyed the living room and honesty system for a good selection of beverages and snacks. Bathroom in our room was definitely lacking and barely functional given...

I stayed for three nights at Hazlitt´s in January 2017 and chose it for its character and location. It´s ideally located in the middle of Soho with countless of shops, restaurants, bars, theatres and sights in walking distance. Also various tube stations are just a short walk away (Tottenham Court Road, Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus). Welcome and check-in was warm-hearted...

Staying at Hazlitt's was a step back in time and a fun change from a modern day hotel. The room was fairly large and the furnishings were beautiful. Be prepared for less than ideal lighting, no electrical outlet in the bathroom, and all the quirks that come with a building over 200 years old. The location was great and the...

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hazlitt's occupies a group of historic Georgian houses in Frith Street, off Soho Square. In 1718 there were no modern conveniences, but we have updated the plumbing, installed bathrooms and replaced most of the candles with electricity. At Hazlitt’s our philosophy is simple. We have set out to create the kind of accommodation we ourselves would love to find in the heart of one of the World’s great cities. Civilised surroundings; old fashioned hospitality; friendly efficient service; a location away from the roar of traffic, but within a very short walk of the most important attractions. ... more   less
