A lovely boutique hotel comprising of some very old houses knocked together to create a very engaging hotel. Lovely old style, very friendly and helpful front desk, its easy to imagine it being used for a period drama. Super comfortable bed. Would make a great place to stay after a special night out. Couple of things to watch out for......

Wonderful small secluded hotel on Frith Street. Near Oxford Street and Shaftesbury Avenue, and yet QUIET! Four eighteenth century houses combined - so a rather eccentric layout - furnished beautifully in eighteenth century style. Breakfast brought to your room, limited to four items, but of highest quality. No dining room, but one is not necessary as you have so many...

My husband and I stayed at Hazzlit's Hotel in Soho for 2 nights in mid-November 2016. Having previously used international chains, we decided to go for a boutique hotel with charm and character and Hazzlit's fully met all of our expectations. Our room was enchanting and we felt as if we had stepped back to the era of Charkes Dickens...

The hotel is very charming indeed. A very old building in the heart of Soho. But even with closed windows, you will hear the bar scene all night. So if you like to go out in Soho, just go to Soho, but stay somewhere else if you want a decent sleep. Also, there was no hot water for 2 days...

Loved our stay but don't feel I can give more than 3 stars. We had 3 nights here at just under £300/nt which is what I'd expect to pay in central London but I don't think I was expecting the property to be as quirky and noisy as it is. It's an amazing couple of C18th townhouses which have been...

Hazlitt's is a very old building going back to the early 1700's in London and is full of charm, history and stories It is located in the heart of London's West End and in Soho - easy to get to all of the city's major landmarks The rooms are named after the famous occupants of the original building and we...

The hotel is in the middle of Soho so close to anything really. Beautiful hotel with a lot of history behind it. The floorboards are dipped with age The walls are not level and not everything is flush but that's the beauty of this hotel. The only let down is the hotel only has a small range of breakfast which...

Ideally located for the theatres, restaurants and bars of Soho, you could walk right by and not notice it. Step inside away from the hustle and bustle, and you'll find yourself in a wonderfully quiet, calm and relaxed atmosphere. Manned by helpful, friendly and professional staff who make you feel more at home than just guests. Decorated befitting the period...

Lovely hotel, so different. It's like entering a different world and stepping back in time... We had a very nicely decorated room, the staff are lovely and helpful, and the location is absolutely unbeatable.

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hazlitt's occupies a group of historic Georgian houses in Frith Street, off Soho Square. In 1718 there were no modern conveniences, but we have updated the plumbing, installed bathrooms and replaced most of the candles with electricity. At Hazlitt’s our philosophy is simple. We have set out to create the kind of accommodation we ourselves would love to find in the heart of one of the World’s great cities. Civilised surroundings; old fashioned hospitality; friendly efficient service; a location away from the roar of traffic, but within a very short walk of the most important attractions. ... more   less
