I visited this hotel over Easter weekend for one night, I arrived at the hotel expecting a standard room with a double bed and to my appreciation find out that they have upgraded us to a garden view room which has a king size bed. After reading the reviews on TripAdvisor before I booked the hotel I fully expected the...

Our daughter recommended this hotel for its convenient location, and we found it ideally situated. Gloucester Rd tube station is a five minute walk, and buses leave for Baker Street and Clapham from nearby. This enables the museums, shopping areas and the river to be reached speedily. We spent four nights here, and slept well. Our room was at the...

We had a nice large superior room at the front of the hotel, but found it too noisy with the traffic on Cromwell Road. The staff were very helpful and gave us a quieter room at the back of the hotel, looking down into a garden. It was smaller, but offered a much better night's sleep. The hotel is really...

After reading other reviews and having paid for the bulk of my two night stay with vouchers from a well known supermarket I was not expecting the best of rooms however I was pleasantly surprised. We had a lovely little room at the back of the hotel overlooking the garden. The bed was very comfortable and the rooms were spotlessly...

Very well located near the metro station, it is surprisingly quiet. The rooms are small but the bathroom is wide! The breakfast is good, if you're a fan, but no room service is available (and you're referred to burger King! )

Well I've finally managed to stay in a record breaking hotel. A standard double in this place is very standard if you're a Lego man. I stayed here on the night of the 5th April and to be honest I wasn't that impressed. I checked in at circa 1700 and they had one member of staff manning the bar and...

First of all, the hotel has a great location in Kensington, and it's very convenient to the Gloucester Road tube station. As other reviewers said, the room was quite tiny. However, there were only the two of us, and we were out in the city most of the day and only used the room to crash. The hotel was neat...

I stayed at the Cromwell Hotel for the weekend to meet friends in London. I had a pleasant, quiet en suite double room overlooking the rear garden. The room was fine for my needs, but it would be small for 2 people. Everything was clean and well maintained in the room. The breakfast was fine, although some of the tables...

We stayed here for 2 nights. We were given a tiny basement room and you could hear the tube passing by. The breakfast was very disappointing and the restaurant is way too cramped. The hotel is clean though and the staff are friendly enough. I wouldn't stay here again.

The hotel is in a great location, lots of restaurants and shops locally and right next to a underground station. Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
