Lovely double room with fridge , air conditioning unit, large TV flat screen and nice shower, and the breakfast is brilliant. Staff are very friendly. We choose the Hotel as we had booked a Concert at the Albert Hall and it is within walking distance, the closest tube station which is Kensington High Street. We checked Trip Advisor before we...

As someone who doesn't like air conditioning I didn't like the fact that the hotel room windows are sealed so you can't open the window in your hotel room. We switched the aircon off and had an okay sleep. We had a drink in the bar in the evening and had a very enjoyable meal in the restaurant within Copethorne...

Stayed here as had an early appointment in London. Had a club room so had free drinks and canapés at 6pm for an hour. Room was ok for price and clean. some noise from outside the hotel from railway. Really liked the location easy for shopping. Breakfast was good, again in separate area. Paid extra to park car for 24...

Good value for money due to its position - you can walk to Underground in 5 mins and Hyde Park is just down the road. The rooms are comfortable but basic. Initially given a room where a gap between the window and wall created a lot of noise but an alternative was found in request. Staff polite and efficient. Restaurant...

Room was spacious; it was a Club room which granted access to a private breakfast room and that room doubled as a gratis cocktail & appetizer spot every evening. Liam looks after everybody at cocktails, keeping the drinks flowing, always asking how your day was. He's a treasure!

My family stayed at the Copthorne Tara March 13-18 and had a great stay. There were three of us sharing a room and we found we had plenty of space, especially since we didn't spend a lot of time in the room. We had a nice little fridge, a hairdryer right by the mirror in the room (although the cord...

Hotel was good but internet connection was broken up every 10-15 minutes and was quite slow. Breakfasts were excellent. Good localization, very close to the metro station, shops and Kensington Park. Staff were very friendly. :)

Not the prettiest of buildings on the outside but internally much better. We paid £100 for a Saturday night stay which included breakfast. The room and bathroom were adequate and the service provided by the staff was good. If there is a busier hotel in London I haven't been in it so be prepared to queue for breakfast and checking...

Reception staff keen to upsell and not that efficient Double room was very ok Bed uncomfortable and bedside lamp not working though bulb was changed by request TV controller not working and everything very tired. Queues for breakfast took 20 mins to be seated - clearly when rooms are booked the various places to eat are over stretched and quality...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
