We enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn. The location of the hotel is just perfect, steps away from Gloucester Road which is one of my favorite areas in London. The hotel room was clean, bed was comfortable and the staff was helpful. There is also a gym facility and a great pub in the hotel. On the downside, the...

The hotel was booked for us through Norweigan Cruise Lines. It was a perfect location. We could walk to many museums and went to the Victoria and Albert. The hotel staff were attentive and the morning Full English breakfast was delicious. We were in walking distance of many restaurants. The hotel concierge were extremely helpful. The rooms seemed small but...

We did the London marathon package which works out quite expensive for what you get, but cant fault our stay there. Good breakfast, clean room and very baby friendly the staff couldn't be more helpful. Due to it good location we would say there again.

The hotel is located a block from Gloucester Road tube station, so it's a simple ride from Heathrow with no transfers necessary and is a short tube ride from any destination in central London. Located within a few minutes' walking distance are a Waitrose Supermarket, a Boots pharmacy, a great bookstore called Slightly Foxed, and numerous restaurants. The rooms are comfortably...

We have used this hotel on a number of occasions and have never been let down. A warm welcome with very professional reception staff, and great room with all you might need, not luxurious, but more than adequate and certainly very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and hard not to over indulge. The proximity to Gloucester Road tube station makes the...

My husband and I stayed at this Holiday Inn this spring and it was pretty good. The concierge service was very helpful which made up for the slow service during our first meal in the restaurant. We also didn't know that breakfast wasn't included and it wasn't inexpensive. The location is great; a couple blocks from the tube, and maybe...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
