My friend and I stayed overnight in a twin room. Great location . Reasonably priced for a standard room. Got pretty much what we expected; would visit again. Only gripe was the position of the bed lamps (and the dust on them). Didn't use other facilities in the hotel (had breakfast elsewhere) so cannot comment.

The main problem with our room (166) on the first floor of the east tower was the bathroom. It was very tired looking & not overly clean. The toilet bowl below the water line was heavy stained, the sealant around the edge of the bath was black with mildew, there was also an enromous chip in the bath. The shower...

Used this hotel as it was the ideal location for our plans. Checked in very late, which we phoned them up to pre-warn and was not an issue. Service desk and concierge were very helpful. Bedroom small but comfortable and clean, had all we need, comfy beds and not too hot in the room!. We never had breakfast booked as...

We love using this hotel for visits to theatreland. Latest visit was via Avios to keep the costs down. It's reasonable, easy to find, quick to register. Rooms aren't fancy but then it's not a destination, it's a place to kip! The breakfast buffet is easy to negotiate, comprehensive and well cooked, with a good choice of spots to sit...

I wouldn't go back to this hotel. Water was dripping badly through both lights in the bathroom. This is obviously VERY dangerous and could of caused some serious injuries. When I told the reception staff she sniggered and said thanks for telling me. No sorry or anything!

Room a little small, and dated. The bed not as good as a Premier Inn. The tv average size( small),bathroom ok. The housekeeping knocking on the door at 8am to clean the room not happy. We stayed for one night, this was so we could see the christmas lights at night around London. The positive for the Giles was the...

My partner and I had booked this for a romantic weekend away from the kids. We had booked High Tea at Fortnum and Mason (which was spectacular) and saw Phantom of the Opera on our second night. I upgraded to a Deluxe room in which no bath towels were provided, only hand towels. The bedroom was tiny and had only...

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
