It's an old tired hotel with below average restaurants. But it doesn't matter it's in Covent Garden so you are spoilt for choice for places to eat. Plenty of better hotel options too. Nothing else to add

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to review the Strand Palace Hotel and for your feedback. Many thanks for highlighting our fabulous location, which is indeed within walking distance of Covent Garden. Being a Historic Building, we understand that we need some TLC, hence why we are in the initial phase of a Major Refurbishment plan. I do...

Introduced a new friend to the Strand Palace Hotel Carvery restaurant. Situated on the ground floor of this old and well established hotel on the Strand opposite the Savoy. You have a choice of starters, main and/or dessert. The starters are from a large salad bar with a very good selection of fish. Three roasts - rib of beef, turkey...

I had the best times at the Strand. Thank you! Besides the location, the staff was always very helpfull and I was sure, that after a long day of walking, I would have a comfortable, clean and friendly place to go back.

Recently stayed here for a night, having only previously stayed for business trips previously and some time ago. Was warmly welcomed on arrival and offered an upgrade to an air conditioned room which was gratefully received and in the middle of summer I suggest is a must have considering the hotel's location on the busy Strand where if you were...

On a recent coach visit to a London show, our excursion included a carvery lunch at The Strand. On entering the restaurant our coach group was instructed where to sit by the Maitre d'. Instructed is the word & not ...greeted & invited to sit!! He then shouted to all what our meal consisted of & the two deserts we...

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to review the Carvery at the Strand Palace Hotel following your recent visit. Its big, its busy. So many rooms, to little elevator and breakfast-table space at peak hours. Don´t take a room facing the Strand - it‘s noisy at night! Few rooms with zircon - costs more. The bar closes too early - 11.30! and has only bottled beers. On the bright side: Greatest location in London - right on the famous...

The Strand Palace was recommended by a friend for our recent four day visit to London. The hotel was well-situated for most attractions, with easy access to public transport and many sites within walking distance. A number of pubs, restaurants, and entertainment venues were within a short walk. The Strand is a grand old hotel, offering many amenities and exceptional...

Checked in this morning as we walked in both said how nice it looked then was shocked we paid 20 pounds for early check in ( two hours early) and as we walked to the room the corridors were very dated. Bearing in mind I'd spent a lot of money for two nights as a surprise for my boyfriends birthday...
