Best value in London, in my opinion. Cannot find a better location to walk to the most important tourist sites, and only a short cab ride away from the rest. Got to watch the filming of the next James Bond movie from our room overlooking the Thames, it just doesn't get any better than that!

We stayed in London for 3 nights prior to taking a cruise out of Southampton. The Royal Horseguards proved to be an excellent choice for a hotel. Our room didn't have a fantastic view, but it was adequate size. In fact I think the bathroom might have been bigger than the bedroom! TV, phone, and heated towel rack were all...

Staff was attentive from check-in to check-out. Breakfast (part of the British Airways package) was great. 100 yards or so from Embankment Tube Station. Walking distance to Trafalgar Square and the Theatre District and easy walk to the National Theatre on the South Bank.

Really enjoyed our stay here - actually much better than expected. To be honest, the photos on the hotel website doesn't do the rooms much justice; we really were shocked when we arrive how nice they are. Great breakfast and nice view of the London Eye from our room. Very nice well equipped gym too.

Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
