Charming hotel, right off Marylebone High Street. The location really is great to eat out at the restaurants round St James' Place and Marylebone High Street. The room is also well equipped and charming. The shame is that for business travel it's not ideal. Wifi is not great and there is no business centre or gym. However, for a city...

Lovely hotel conveniently placed for shopping. Very attentive and helpful staff. Nice room, usual problem with not enough drawer space for "smalls" but minor detail. Nespresso machine in room but had to take a travel kettle as we prefer tea!! Afternoon tea with free flow champagne absolutely marvellous value. Slightly disconcerted as next day ordered two glasses of champagne in...

We choose the hotel by location and made reservation for room with breakfast. The description said superior room with superior space! On 2 sides of the bed we had 60 cm and on the third side 1 meter! The view though (7. floor) was great and the room was clean. Only thing smaller than our room was the lift. Since...

Dear CopenhagenGlobe, Let me start by thanking you for having chosen The Mandeville Hotel for your pre-Christmas stay. Breakfast is a vital part of our operation, and we treat it with great respect. I therefore fully understand your concerns, and I regret that the lack of service has spoiled your overall experience. Your feedback has been shared with the restaurant...

The location is the best for Oxford st shopping. The room was smaller than expected , but clean and comfortable. Was a bit disappointed with breakfast, we had to wait for food to be replenished and the poor staff seemed overworked. However , we were not in a rush and the hot toast was lovely and worth the wait. The...

Located just at the back of Selfridges , so therefore ideal for Oxford st shopping. We had booked a Queen room and at first was disappointed at the size of the bed - hardly a double , more of a larger single bed. The room was tiny and the TV had lines running across it. I spoke to reception and...

We visited this hotel for a Friday evening business meeting and arrived mid afternoon. We checked in and found the room to be a typically small room for a London hotel but adequate. We then met colleagues in the bar which is also open to the public and , as the hotel is on a corner, has more than one...

Dear JarrodP68, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at The Mandeville Hotel. We are treating the comment regarding breakfast service very seriously. I know that the restaurant management is addressing this issue separately. Nevertheless, I want to take this opportunity to apologize for the negative experience you had on that morning. Please let me know when...

We stayed for 4 nights in a deluxe room which was very comfortable and a good enough size whilst being cosy. The bathroom was very nice. Bed and pillows were a little soft. Would have been nice to have tea-making facilities in the room (just a Nespresso machine). Customer service was excellent. Breakfast was sufficient but doesn't offer a wide...

Nice and central located hotel. Styled very nice, close to many shops and restaurants. To be honest it felt a bit overpriced. Nice staff. Excellent bar. Breakfast God, as to be expected in a place like this.

A single night's stay may not be long enough to thoroughly test a hotel's abilities, but at the hotel's room rates, one night was our limit. As with most central London hotels our room was smallish, but very well laid out, a very comfortable (double) bed and everything as clean as it should be. The TV was a bit of...

Another last-minute booking for me, and I was lucky to get the hotel at a really good price, otherwise I would've been rather disappointed. While the rooms are pleasant they're a little dated and somewhat cramped – I was quite glad I was staying alone as 2 people in the room would've been a squeeze. While there I decided to...

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
