It took 25 minutes to check in as there was only one person at the reception despite a queue being evident. I booked this hotel solely because valet parking was available, which was requested and confirmed in writing, however, upon arrival I was told it was not available. This situation completely ruined the stay as i have to make last minute arrangements to for parking and getting to and from the car park to the hotel. I made the manager aware of the situation and I was asked to write into an email address that was provided. After a protracted period and email exchange with some correspondences simply ignored, I was offered a complimentary stay "Be my guest certificate" for one night by way of compensation, which I accepted. Unfortunately, I couldn't use the voucher partly because of the pandemic and partly because it wasn't convenient. The voucher was only valid for a 12 months so when I contacted the hotel for a replacement they asked for the original voucher which I cannot locate. I advised that I could provide copies of the correspondences and that the manager I dealt with is still available to verify the situation but we now appear to have entered a phase whereby they simply don't respond. The hotel itself was ok but the customer service was / is very poor and they appear to do everything they can to avoid any responsibility. If you don't have any issues I'm sure your stay will be fine but beware if you do have any issues. Definitely would not recommend.

Hotel's Favourite
In this time of Covid to be honest I'm always nervous about hotel stays, however this hotel has everything in place for the safety of its guests. (Clean Stay. full information on the Hilton site) This excellent historic hotel is located at the Aldwich in the heart of London's theatre land just a few minutes walk from Covent Garden. The hotel was built in 1900’s and over the years has undergone some major refurbishments. In the last 20 years it has been modernised, and refurbished whilst still keeping the original art deco feel. The rooms are larger than many hotels in London beautifully appointed and well equipped with A/C, TV, bath and shower etc. Upon arrival I received a glass of fizz and a warm welcome from Helena @ reception . From the moment we arrived to the time we checked-out the service was exemplary. I had checked in online before and my room was beautifully prepared. As a diamond member I received a room upgrade to the most exquisite room, my only complaint is there was no proper coffee machine in the room with only instant coffee, The executive lounge is closed because of Covid, and the executive facilities are quite restricted at the moment. The hotel is offering a bottle of wine your room for diamond members. The Bar currently has a limited menu which is reasonably priced. There is a set Menu in the Homage Restaurant which is quite limited. Breakfast is Excellent and the staff go above and beyond to make guests welcome. A full breakfast service is available with a chef on duty preparing omelettes, eggs etc. catering for the most fastidious tastes. A pleasant stay overall. Whilst the room’s and service of a high standard, the current catering facilities leave a little to be desired. If you are looking for luxury break in London I can recommend this Hotel if only for its location, and the excellent service.

I am lost for words here. There are SO MANY THINGS that went wrong with my stay here on May 2022 that is quite amazing. To summarize: 1) I had requested a sheet on the bed apart from the duvet prior to my arrival 2) The sheet was not there when I arrived and kindly asked for them to bring it over while I went for dinner 3) When I returned, the sheet was on top of the bed: I had to make my own bed. 4) Next morning I told them I had to make my own bed and asked them to please make it for me that night so I didn't have to make it myself. I also told them the fridge was not cooling the drinks, and that I would like them to get it fixed and get some cold water for me. I called 4 times from 6:30 to 8:30 but nobody picked up the phone, so I had to go down to reception and speak to the person there that said "I am here by myself, I can't pick up the phone" when I told her she should talk to her manager about it to find a solution she said the manager was aware of this (??). In other words: don't try to call reception from the room, we can't pick up the phone. 5) When I arrived on the afternoon I found a new (dented and dirty) fridge plugged by my bed. I couldn't believe it! It was lying there on the floor and it was dirty inside and empty (!!) So I didn't even have the cold water I needed, just an old dirty fridge by my bed. Unbelievable.... 6) I talked to the hotel manager to let him know all these issues, he was thankful. 7) When I came back from dinner guess what... there was no sheet on the bed!!! And of course, I called reception but nobody answered the phone. WORST EXPERIENCE EVET. I will definitely send this same message to Hilton. Shame.

A big thank you to the entire team at Waldorf Hilton for the surprises you have done for my wife for her birthday, from the balloons and cake in the room, to the cake we were also served during breakfast. Service was excellent throughout, and the hotel was thoughtful in even packing breakfast for us when we told them we were checking out at 4am and the kitchen only opens at 7am.

Booked in for a night and had a plug with wires coming out of the plug right near the bed. I understand that these things happen but when phoning down, they said they would send someone up to fix. A few hours later, no one had come up to even look at it. Phoned again and they sent someone up and told us they need us to leave the room whilst they turn off the electrics. It’s not the electrical fault that is the problem it’s the lack of service throughout the hotel. I then emailed about this since - for my emails to be ignored. No one bothered to get back to me i Or to even apologise for this. I have now lost faith in Hilton honours and will not be staying in any again. I advise anyone to do the same, as they are incompetent and do not have any customer service skills.

Dear aaronjD3575TB, I would like to apologise for the lack of a prompt follow up after you reported the matter. This is not acceptable and certainly not our usual high levels of customer service and I appreciate that you were disappointed with your stay. This matter has now been resolved but should not have occurred. Should you wish to return please contact LONWA_GUESTRELATIONS@HILTON.COM who will try and make it right for you. Kind regards, Guy Hilton General Manager
