We stayed at the Sidney Hotel, Victoria, London on a four day leisure trip. Nicely decorated hotel and very clean. Breakfast was lovely. There was the No 24 bus right outside the hotel which came every 10 mins and took you to main centre of London.

I know my review is late, unfortunately I thought I had already wrote one. After looking online for a place to stay near Victoria station, this one came up a few times on different pages, so I thought I would ring the hotel direct for their best deal. We got a triple en-suite room 1 double 1 single bed. The...

The hotel was located within walking distance from Victoria Station. The room was clean and a good size. The breakfast was very good and offered a good selection of food (bacon, eggs, toast, juice, beans, sausages and cereal). The desk staff was very helpful and informative. If you want to be centrally located and you don't want to pay an...

We got a nice deal here from skoosh.com at $373 usd for 3 nights stay, much better than seen on their website. I was prepared for the worst room in the hotel at this price. This hotel is located on a street totally lined with similarly styled hotels for up to 4-6 blocks. Seems like a decent enough area with...

After a long journey we couldnt find the hotel ..even though it was 10 mins from Victoria Station......there are 'squares' placed in the middle of the roads so it is very confusing.....when we eventually found it, the receptionist said there was a problem with our room and maintainence were fixing it. I asked could we have another room?? I was...

This hotel was central if a little hard to find. We booked a twin room but had to settle for a double. The rooms were tiny barely the size of a single. Breakfast was a farce with two lines to the dining room, one from upstairs and one from downstairs, all converging at the same time. only an hour and...

I have never stayed at the Sidney Hotel before and I won't be going back. Our room was in the basement and smelled of damp and was dark and dingy, with peeling paint on the wall by the window. Also the bus stop was directly outside our window, so every night we were kept awake until very late by people...

Location was why I chose the hotel...10 minute walk from Victoria Station and Victoria Apollo where I went to see the musical "Wicked". Arrived at about 12:30pm...we were allowed to leave our cases in our rooms despite them not being ready. Lady on reception was not overly pleasant, but efficient enough to do her job. If you don't have a...

Rooms are VERY small - we asked to be moved because there was no floor space to stand our suitcases, let alone open them! Breakfast basic and big queues (one-in/one-out system so get there early). The lift doors were dangerous - could crush someone so take the stairs as it's safer. Staff were okay. Worth £129? Not a chance -...

Family of 4 staying for 1 night. This hotel done everything we wanted it to do,it was close to the underground(plimico 5 min walk,Victoria 10 mins),close to all the attractions,a nice walk to Westminster, about 30-45 mins,or you could jump on the number 24 bus which stopped right outside the hotel which would take you there. The hotel itself was clean, the rooms were...

Staying in Pimlico

Neighbourhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighbourhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
