From it's web-site the hotel looked great. But I never saw the rooms in the pictures. They must keep it of-limit for the photographer. Our were much smaller, worn out and did not have the furnishing you could see on the picture. As I was staying for a whole week, I decided to get a suite to have more space....

Had a lovely room at the Cavendish; beautiful views towards the London Eye. Very quiet - except for idiots in next door room who swore very loudly and at length on the Saturday night at 2.30am. Not the fault of the Cavendish, which was perfectly situated for our nights out, and for the Royal Academy.

I love the location of The Cavendish and they really won me over because I had to switch my flight from DC to London due to some weather concerns. It was a tremendous relief to land at Heathrow to find an email that told me that they would have a room waiting for me when my plane landed. The location...

This was our second stay at this wonderfully located hotel and I had forgotten how much I liked it first time! We spent one night here with our daughter and son and got two very comfortable rooms for the price of one at a slightly better known hotel nearby. This hotel is fantastically situated on Jermyn St in easy reach...

Cannot rate this hotel highly enough. Perfectly centrally located and attention to every little detail that matters. We stayed for a birthday occasion and had told the hotel that this was the case and asked for a room with a god view. When we arrived, not only were we pleased to have been given an amazing view (floor 11- looking...

I loved the hotel and was pleasantly surprised by its convenient location close to all important attractions and places but still quiet and far enough from the busy areas. The Handy that is provided to all guests allows for free calls and internet access and that helped me a lot as I did not have a smart phone that I...

Mixed review for this central London hotel. Our room was comfortable and a reasonable size. The decor is modern but dated. Wifi is very good. Check in staff professional and efficient. The bad, the breakfast was terrible, dreadful undrinkable coffee and a rip off at £25. When we complained at reception they refused a refund.

This is a great place to stay, in a perfect location. I stayed overnight for business and enjoyed the comfortable bed, the nice breakfast with lovely fresh fruits and the very friendly staff. I would defenitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in London.

This was our fifth visit to this hotel. The staff and the service they provide could not be better. Breakfast is superb with many items cooked to order. Afternoon tea is imaginative and excellent value. Our superior was superb and the TV had full Sky Sports. The hotel is wonderfully situated for shops, theatres and parks. We are already looking...

Dear Arthur41Doncaster, Thank you for taking the time to review The Cavendish. I am so pleased to know that you appreciate the hotel location as much as we do. Staying in St. James's

Neighbourhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
