Location is excellent, very near Paddington station - which saved us, because there was a strike of underground staff the day we were supposed to leave, but we had Heathrow Express tickets. Only a few months before, I spent a couple of nights at another Norforlk Square hotel (they're all along both sides of the square). The Dolphin was way...

Very nice hotel with young nice staff. Rooms were nice with private bathroom on the ground floor. Everything is very close to it so no need to think if you have forgotten something. Main station is only 500 meters away, 24h market is in 100 meters away, very god location. I have not see other rooms but the one they...

Stayed here sat night with my husband and 2 children. Staff where friendly. Our room consisted of 2 twin beds and 2 sets of bunks. Our family room was on top floor up very steep steps. All 80 something. Made me laugh as id just read sign saying if found smoking in room £75 charge, yet as soon as opened...

On first arrival the reception is very impressive. Clean and modern however on entry to the vast array of rooms the building become more dated and less and less modern. The room on arrival was very basic and decor unimpressive.... it was the little things which caused concern- internet only connected if you were in the bathroom; there was tea...

Dear Linda c, I am afraid your review has been posted to the wrong Hotel. The Dolphin Hotel in Paddington does not have any spa amenities. Kind Regards Dolphin Hotel

Stayed as a family, 2 adults, 2 teens. Room was really basic. Had to hold shower head up, tv had no signal, furniture very basic and worn. But it was kept very clean and the breakfast, although basic, gave you a good start for the day. The wi-fi was free and very good. Proximity to Paddington station was the reason...

Dark, smelly, needs a complete update and redecoration. Had to climb loads of cramped rickety stairs to get to our tiny cramped room with twin beds. One of the beds had the headboard in the fireplace. The room was unbearably hot and the tiny en suite smelt damp. There was hardly any water pressure so a shower was impossible. Breakfast...

Dear Lesley T, Thank you for reviewing our business. Comments like yours help us see our flaws and take action. We are operating this Hotel in beautiful Victorian buildings constructed in the 1850s and we are proud to maintain their beauty, part of which are the old cast iron fireplaces and the staircases. Some of our rooms do include bunk...

Admittedly, my expectations were low due to my experience with similar London rooms in this price range. But I was pleasantly surprised this time. I was in need of a reasonably-priced room at the very last minute at 9pm, and, due to several prior visits to London, I was familiar with the row of small hotels/guest houses lined up along...

Booked for my mother who is staying in the Dolphin Hotel on a regular basis while visiting my father in St Mary's Hospital. Ideally located for hospital, many cafes around and easy access to Oxford Street. Very friendly and helpful staff. Single room which was more than adequate for her needs, tv and shower and ensuite. Would definitely recommend.

I like to read all reviews on hotels I am staying in and find common ground before writing my own review in retrospect. I really can't comprehend how anybody could rate this hotel anything less than average but surely some guests must find an excellent value hotel like this gem and then expect 5 star service. What do you get...

My wife and I visit London every year and stumbled on this hotel about 7 years ago. Having stayed in others in the Paddington area the Dolphin leaves others standing. This is our 7th consecutive stay at the hotel and cannot fault it. Staff are polite, courteous and very helpful and the accommodation very clean and presentable.
