We came to London for winter wonderland and the Sheraton Grand was in a great location. We upgraded to a superior suite which was lovely (although had no view) beds were really comfy and the hotel is quiet and welcoming. The bar was great - and the barman was really good. Would stay again for sure.

The location for afternoon tea at this hotel is a small, quiet, comfortable little atrium on the ground floor of the hotel. The choice of teas is impressive and the quality of the sandwiches and cakes was spot-on. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed a good hour and a half of distinguished tranquility. The cutlery and crockery were also all... More

Beautiful hotel, but tiny rooms. We actually booked a superior room to get a bit more space but still got a very small room with almost no space to put our stuff. We double-checked with the reception about our "spacious" room and were told that the room size mentioned on the website would refer to the average room size and... More

The location is wonderful- walking distance to Buckingham palace and many attractions. Newly renovated, but pricey. Was upgraded to suite for first night, but moved to standard room for 2nd night, which was an inconvenience since I had to repack my luggage.

My wife and I had a lovely afternoon tea at this hotel recently. They were polite and the food was stunning. They also gave my wife her coke for free with the tea and also replenished our sandwiches etc. The only thing I would say was that the service was rather slow.

Near Green Park tube station on Piccadilly line, the location is strategic. We are very happy with the quality of the room (happy we got a room overlooking the quiet street) and service (except at the bar late at night - servers were not attentive nor prompt). The concierge and the valet/doorman (young gentleman with the glasses - he was... More

This was my first stay since the renovation and I loved the new look! The rooms are modern yet practical, extremely comfortable beds, well equipped and good quality materials. The bathroom has a great shower, simple but nice decor, though the window is a single one, quite cold during winter. The heating in the room works perfectly well, temperature can... More

So centrally located and close to Green Park Tube. This hotel was recently fully renovated to a really high standard. The staff were fabulous and the rooms just lovely. The lobby and bar area are wonderful to relax in and get high tea served in the afternoon. The rear entrance doors lead directly into "Shepard's Market' which is fabulous and... More

Everyone so helpful, but especially Kamil, Lorenzo and Daniel in the bar. Thanks guys! And a soecial mention to Mohammad at the front desk who was very polite and professional while I was arguing something I was wrong about. Thanks Mohammad! And thanks Stuart at the concierge! One of our favourite hotels in London, being staying here for almost 20 years. Our kids would play in Green park. Good service. Nice access to Shepherd market. It is a older hotel but with lots of character and very convenient.

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
