Pimlico is probably one of the best London areas combining proximity to the busy city center, with a suburban relaxed feeling and many options to dine and shop conveniently, ideally suited for business or leisure trips to one of the best cities of the world.

The hotel is located in a street full with renovated urban domiciles of the past converted to hotels and offers the right combination of function and convenience for travellers that want a reasonable accommodation without the extravaganza of luxury illusions or the risk of unknown origin establishments.

All in all it provides a very decent experience in terms of the available facilities (rooms, common spaces and breakfast), strongly enhanced by the professionalism and friendliness of the hotel staff that add very positively to the total package.

Big plus, the 300 m distance from Pimlico Tube station, a minus in the room sizes but this is the center of a European city and not Las Vegas.

Will certainly stay again.

Stayed here having travelled to London for a touristy couple of days, half hour walk to the museums in Kensington, close to London Victoria station, and an easy link to taxis in the reception area, made this all in all a great base for a couple of days,
The staff were happy for us to arrive early and leave a bag in a luggage room, and also leave it there once checked out.
We had an issue in the bathroom with a broken shower pole. The maintenance guy did fix it, but as we were trying to get out for a booked dinner this did cause us a bit of a problem getting 3 of us showered in a small cubical having to hold the shower head.
Breakfast is a simile continental option. Unstaffed for the main part, so you are left to work stuff out for yourself.
Our room (101) was great for a family, large enough for 3 of us to be comfortable and not falling over each other, although we did have to ask for an 3rd towel.
However it was next to the breakfast room, so we heard the early risers coming for breakfast, we also had a vent outside the window that seemed to go off every 15 mins or so at night,
Little things like this could have been the difference between this being a good and a great stay,

Visited for three nights mid January. Lovely hotel, pleasant staff, clean and well maintained. Had double room on 3 floor. Very quiet no sound from Road or adjoining rooms. Visited in jan and room quite hot, so summer could be problem. No air con (due to building being listed) however fan on wall. Bathroom good, shower good pressure and not huge but plenty of room. Beware London water is very ‘soft’ go easy on soap or you’ll be rinsing forever! Breakfast was good, plenty of selection and grab and go option. Coffee ok but bit weak.

Location is superb, there really is a pub on every corner! Pint of Doom Bar and G & T ranges from £9.75 - £11.00. The Warwick has cocktails for £5.50. Cafe Nero, Boots and small Tesco and Waitrose handy for odd bits, otherwise great local shops, cafes, restaurants and bars.

Outside hotel jump on 24 to oxford street. Victoria station one end of road, Pimlico underground the other.

Will definitely come back, perhaps in spring... can’t wait!

A typical London hotel with small rooms. But it was clean, well decorated and a very nice bathroom. The staff if friendly and vey helpful. The location is great. You are within a short walk of the Victoria bus and train stations. There is a great pub nearby and small shops for other needs.

We stayed at the hotel for 1 night, we were checked in by Chai who was very friendly and polite. The location of the hotel was great with transport near by, the tube was just a few minutes walk and this took us to all the tourist destinations in less than 15 minutes. The car park is also a short walk from the hotel and a reasonable price for the location. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was also very tasty with a variety of options including the option to take away. Great value for money!

Arrived mid afternoon. Housekeeping came to room to make up sofa bed + we advised we were literally turning round to go back out once changed so asked them to come back later, advising them we would be out till late so no rush to do bed if busy.
Arrived back late evening + sofa bed had not been made up, spoke to reception who basically accused of turning housekeeping away earlier so own fault bed not made up, given sheets + told to do ourselves!
Pull out had no pillows + when asking reception told they should be there + if not the dont have spare!
Room overly hot, had window open AND fan on in fact whole hotel overly hot.
Buffer breakfast disappointing.
All in all not a great stay + would not use again

We were moved to this hotel after being informed that the hotel we'd actually booked was closed due to building work. The Holiday Inn is very basic, paper cups were provided for tea and coffee in the room, and very little tea and coffee was supplied to put in the paper cups!! The rooms are tiny, very hot, dirty carpets and faulty windows. The bathroom was the best part of our visit! Although they don't provide complimentary toiletries.
At Breakfast the choice was toast with blackcurrant jam or marmite, coco pops or weetabix. There was apple juice, and orange juice, however no coffee as the machine was broken. This hotel was situated only a 5 min walk from the tube. I wouldn't stay here again, very basic

We chose this hotel because of its proximity to Victoria Coach Station where tours we've purchased were departing and the reasonable room price. As I look back, there was no indication this hotel didn't have AC. We were glad that during the three days we stayed there, London was having a "cool" spell. Temperatures were in 50s & 60s Fahrenheit, pleasant and no rain. Excellent staff, specially at the front desk. Upon our surprise about no AC, the checking in clerk provided 2 fans for air circulation.
The room looks the same as in the online pictures, modern and minimalistic. There were a few places to storage anything. We placed our luggage on the floor and a few items we were able to store in an open closet. The bathroom's size was small but manageable. Stocked with Dove liquid hand wash, body wash and shampoo. The shower head and its water flow was excellent, perhaps the best we have ever experienced in a hotel in our many years of travel. There was a room safe.
Breakfast was included. It was excellent : fruits, cereals, scrambled eggs, ham, sausages, a variety of breads and muffins, yogurt and coffee and an expresso machine; however, the best surprise we received was the lady who took care of this room. Her name is Miriam who was positive, informative and helpful. She is an asset to the hotel.
Pimlico is the nearest metro/tube station which is about 2-3 blocks from this hotel.

Hello rh46rh! Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at Holiday Inn Express Victoria. We are so glad to hear that you enjoyed our location, the breakfast and the staff. Regarding the ac's it wouldn't make sense to write in the website that we don't have a pool when we do not have a pool right? Same goes for the ac, There's no mention of ac's in our websites because we do not have them. As it doesn't show anywhere in our website and amenities list, we do not have ac's in any of our rooms, we are currently installing them: however, the process is time consuming to ensure that our standards are met. Please know that your feedback is extremely valuable to us. As a Holiday Inn Express we offer less amenities than a Holiday Inn, the express hotels are made for short term stays and We use feedback, such as yours, to continuously make changes to our brand to improve the guest experience. Regards, Guest Service team

The whole booking experience was straightforward and uncomplicated. The receptionist was friendly and welcoming explaining arrangements for breakfast, wi fi and the bar. The double room was spotlessly clean and appointed with, hairdryer, iron/ironing board and tea/coffee making and flat screened Tv. The shower/wc was well designed and the Dove wash and shampoo products an added bonus. Breakfast was a buffet with choice of both hot and cold dishes. Rima who oversaw breakfast was an absolute gem, she engaged with guests whilst making sure that the buffet was refreshed and tables cleared. The hotels location near to Pimlico underground makes it easy to get into central London and is also quiet.

The hotel is on a large London terraced street so you would expect space is at a premium. The cost of the 2 rooms booked was a good price but we hadn’t expected we’d be in a basement with views of rubbish and attached to the hub of the Maintenence/ cleaning dependent. Check in was fine, the staff were friendly and attentive. The rooms were compact yes, but the beds were comfortable and the showers good. Unfortunately that’s about all the positives I have. It wasn’t nice being stuck down there with zero view and all of the laundry in the corridors. The rubbish from the hotel was piled outside our window and collected at 4am the first night and 1am the second night, both of which occasions woke me up. Why have people sleeping down there if you’re going to disturb them every night with maintenance? Contrary to that the breakfast was great, as it was free it was basic but there was everything you could need from cooked stuff to pastries to cereals and the staff were fab. Only other plus was the locality of Pimlico tube but would probably would pay a bit extra to stay somewhere better next time with nicer rooms and some kind of view.

Hello martinpconnel, Thank you for sharing your review. We are glad that you enjoyed the location and the complimentary breakfast. Unfortunately the rooms allocation is subject to availability as it was one of the busiest months of the year for us, reason why we couldn't assign you a room on a higher floor, we have only 8 twin rooms in the hotel and fully booked. We’re sorry your experience didn’t match your expectations. It was an uncommon instance, and we’ll do better in the future. Regards, Guest services team
