Dear readers, do not book a single here! I had the largest single of the property (603) and it was truly the size of a prison cell - claustrophobic. I saw a few other singles and they were worse. Please view my pics. The toilet and sink were basically in the shower. Other singles have larger bathrooms but not larger...

Thank you for your review. I am sorry to read that you found our single rooms small but referring to them as prison cells is perhaps a little bit of an exaggeration! On arrival you were patiently shown nearly all of our available single rooms in an attempt to find a suitable solution for you. You were offered the option...

I stayed for four nights during a quick vacation to London and booked a single room with a full bath. As other reviewers have noted, the room is very tiny - I was glad that I had just packed a carry-on! Also, I'm 5'1'' and I fit in the shower but it wasn't roomy. Larger folks might want to book...

Chosen at short notice and a bit more expensive than I would have hoped. The room was tiny and there were no tea / coffee making facilities in the room, these are in reception As mentioned by some other contributors, main advantage is it is in a quiet location and is an acceptably clean hotel.

Thank you for reviewing the Garden Court Hotel. I am happy to read that you were pleased with our location and the cleanliness of the hotel. Whilst we do not have tea/coffee facilities in our bedrooms, as you mentioned, we do offer a selection of freshly ground coffees and a variety of teas at reception throughout the day. We hope...

The location of the Garden Court Hotel could hardly be better, on a quiet side street near two Tube stops and a lively, attractive commercial area. The appeal largely stops there. Our room was cramped, at best. Amenities were minimal, and staff was uninterested. Despite the location, we won't stay again.

Thank you for your review. I am sorry to read that you do not intend to return to us. We are a small, family-run Bed and Breakfast Hotel offering clean and affordable accommodation within the central London area. As a result we do not offer the same variety of amenities as many larger, more expensive branded hotels. We do however...

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel has lift was very convenient. But the single room was very tiny. Barely can move when open the luggage also didn't offer small amenity, only a soap. I stay at 1st floor facing the street. Is quite annoyed as the balcony is shared with next room. So you can see people stand by...

The hotel is situated in a very good location, near Bayswater underground station, in a quite and elegant neighborhood. The room was better than I imagined: situated on the first floor, near the elevator, newly renovated, toiletries and towels provided daily, very clean, very good shower and bed. The breakfast consists of boiled eggs, cheese, butter, jam, toast, yogurts and...

It's quite convenient to get there within walking distance. Nice staff. The room is tidy and clean, while not spacious enough. One more point is that my room is downstairs without lift. All in all, I had a great stay there.

Stayed here on saturday night, had a single room in the basement, very small, spotlessly clean, everything i needed for a shower and sleeping, had some noisy people above but that was early sunday morning and i wanted to get out and about early anyway. Breakfast was included in the price, a small breakfast room, but the food was good,...

I booked a double room... The room was smaller than the smallest single room you can find wherever else... I had a luggage and it was impossible to walk. Continental breakfast: two burned pieces of bread, some eggs, marmalade and yoghurt... Not sufficient at all

Thank you for your review. We are proud to be located within an English Heritage listed 19th Century Victorian building, oozing period charm and retaining many of it's original features. I am sorry to read that this was not to your taste. I hope this in no way dampened your visit to our city and wish you all the best.

Would definitely recommend. Good value for money in a central location. Staff were friendly and efficient. Very clean room and en-suite. Room was very small and basic but comfortable. Good size TV and good free wifi connection. Nice and quiet. Plenty of shops and a really good range of places to eat nearby. 5 minutes walk to Bayswater metro.

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
