Recently stayed at this hotel for a week long sight seeing visit to London. The good points - room whilst small, was reasonably well equipped and immaculately clean with linen changed every day. The location is very good, close to Russell Square underground station and with a number of decent restaurants close by. The bad - on the morning of...

London is SO expensive right now that we needed the (relatively) low prices of the President. All of our experiences (8 nights) were very good, considering that we chose a budget place. All staff were very tuned in and helpful and our room was very clean. I thought the breakfast was consistent and quite generous compared to what many NA...

My wife and I stayed in the President for a short London Break on 28th October 2014. The hotel is very convenient for the West End and close to the British Museum, very well situated. The rooms have been refurbished to a good standard but this is a reasonably priced hotel and not furnished in the style of ones you...

This hotel is fairly shabby in appearance from the outside and the rooms are just as shabby inside. The wallpaper in our room was peeling off and the towels we were provided with were grey and crumpled. I found a splinter sticking out of my pyjama top, on waking-not sure where this came from but a bit worrying! The rooms...

Four of us spent the night at this Hotel last weekend. We paid in advance. On checking, we were not given the choice of newspapers for the following morning. No porter was there to help with luggage. The young man who checked us in told us he was not if opur rooms very ready, but we could go ahead look...

Just returned from two night stay in room on 5th floor. Hotel staff very pleasant and helpful, breakfast good but after 8.30 queues are long, the same happened when we had evening meal (which I would not recommend) all meat very tough from carvery and service was slow. Rooms comfortable and clean, shower looked old fashioned but powerful and worked...

I've stayed here several times, both alone and with Mum. This time we were lucky (?) to have a first floor room just above the entrance. The noise was tolerable, and I slept, so no real complaint there. However, I do object to a bed which has a VERY soft mattress, and a board between it and the base, which...

Room very basic and impersonal . The old fashioned metal single glaze window looked directly into the bedrooms of another hotel. Food and service very poor. The only hotel we have ever stayed at where the clientele dressed down for dinner. The carvery had roast beef which was well done at one end and virtually raw at the other end....

Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
