Incredibly beautiful hotel in central London. For Christmas the hotel is decorated like a fairy tale. Newly renovated rooms, spa was wonderful. Not to mention the incredible breakfast. The hotel is highly recommended.
Claridge’s has always been one of the top hotels in London but let’s face it, over the years, it had begun to get tired. Not anymore! The hotel has been renovated top to bottom and is also expanding. Claridge’s advantages have always been extensive. It’s location in the center of Mayfair can’t be beaten and it has always oozed charm and class. The staff has always provided top notch service and it’s bar is one of the best in the world. This is why it has been a classic for almost a century. These strengths remain. The hotel, however, had been in need of renovation because the rooms, while classic and charming, has become dated. In addition, the hotel lacked a spa facility. The recent renovation fixes all of this. The rooms now are the best of any city hotel that we have been too. They are now truly beautiful in every respect. The designers have been able to achieve the impossible and have balanced modernity and tradition with perfection. The room facilities are first class with stunning modern bathrooms, amazing showers and air conditioning that can finally hold its own with global warming! The design however retains the hotels Art Deco traditions with beautiful parquet wood floors and attention to detail throughout. Claridge’s has regained its position as the finest hotel in London and indeed has to be a contender on any list of finest city hotels in the world!…
Staying with the Claridge's family again they all delivered an amazing experience for us, the total comfort and class of the hotel is something we all should experience in our life. The position of the hotel is close to everything you need in London. Once inside it offers magic and fabulous service, the staff go the extra mile to make your stay very personal. Many thanks Claridge's see you again soon.
Claridges is a beautiful Hotel, every member of staff was so proffesional and welcoming and overall a wonderful experience to stay here. It should be on everyones bucket list to stay here at least once. It isnt cheap but what an experience.
Friendly staff, room clean, house keeping excellent. Good restaurant and bar service. Location is superb. A few small errors which have feedback to hotel- need to update menu card, extra charges etc otherwise would rate 5/5. Felt rested so it was a good stay.
This is a grand old hotel that has been well kept, it is classy and we had a wonderful experience doin the afternoon tea. The tea selection, champagne, the yummy finger sandwiches and the fresh hot scone with all the trimmings was so tasty.
After a very disappointing visit back in February for a friends 60th birthday we returned today to try again. We had the most amazing Afternoon Tea this time. It was simply faultless. Everything was fresh and plentiful. A special thank you to Alex and Johnnie who looked after us as if we were VIP’s and an extra special thank you to Andrew, the big boss. My faith in claridges has been restored 100% and look forward to our next trip to London in the New Year. Well done x
The most wonderful stay at the Mayfair Suite for our wedding night! The experience was unforgettable; with every detail taken care of! Champagne in the room, homemade cakes, petals on the bed; lobster Wellington for dinner looked after by the fabulous Todd! Amin took care of our every need. We can’t wait to come back for our anniversary!
I’ve been looking forward to my first visit and stay and while the room is gorgeous - the bed so comfortable and bathroom spectacular although the toilet wasn’t flushed when I arrived which wasn't nice to see. The famous customer service and what helps justify the cost and service charges were definitely lacking. The doormen were chatting between themselves when I arrived so I carried my own bag and opened door myself. There was no one to point me to check in although the check in process was lovely and I was given quick tour but no mention of welcome drink that was part of my package or the vegan breakfast I had requested few week ago. Claridges bar nice atmosphere and lovely initial welcome but then I was forgotten about and took ages for my drink order to be taken and ages for my bill to arrive. It wasn’t busy and no apology for my long wait. Afternoon tea I had requested weeks in advance that it was vegan and yet my first round of sandwiches included Brie then I had to wait ages for my second requested vegan plate although I received an apology this time around for the delay. The sandwiches were however beautiful, and the vegan Christmas pudding best I had. Lovely time in Fumior - service great and when I arrived to my room it had been prepared for me to get ready for bed which was lovely. Also breakfast was unbelievable and delivered on time and wonderful service. Overall a mixed bag and can’t lie that felt disappointed by inconsistent customer service. Would I return… this was a dry run before a big birthday I love the room and breakfast so yes, hoping that service is better from the start though.…
The recently renovated hotel is one of the best places we have stayed in London. The service is excellent and the art deco rooms look great, although a bit on the small side. We also had afternoon tea which was very good, but the service and spectacle aren’t as good as the Ritz. However this does mean things feel a lot more relaxed, which is exactly what we were looking for. Ideally located for Bond St and Mayfair - we could walk to Selfridges in a few minutes. This will likely be our base for future London trips.
