A business associate from London knew we were going to London for a long weekend and were planning to stay at The Ritz. He suggested The Stafford London. He promised we would not regret it. We fell in love with The Stafford London the moment we arrived. It is tucked away in a small street and feels like a private...

We stayed with our two little girls. The hotel staff was very welcoming. The room was big enough for the 4 of us with very nice personal touches, the teddy bear and the children/baby toiletries were very much appreciated. A great hotel for leisure or business.

I spent 2 nights here again, but it might be my last time as this hotel is too poorly managed and did not offer any compensation for a disastrous experience with my door that locked me outside the room in my sweat pants after jogging. Their doors are really a complete mess, they do not seal out sound, they slam...

Dear Vincent G - thank you for your feedback, and I am sorry you experienced some issues during your stay. Our doors do not normally slam and we will investigate this further to ensure this is resolved. I am glad you enjoyed the delicious mac & cheese you had the first time. The Stafford is a beautiful hotel, luxurious, yet friendly and cosy too. Fantastic quiet location with a shortcut through an alley straight into Green Park. Our beautiful room had a huge comfortable bed and fantastic bathroom. The American bar is lively and buzzy and a great place for cocktails before dinner. All the staff we met were friendly and welcoming...

Where to begin? Check-in went smoothly and perfectly attended to by reception and doormen who delivered the luggage to our room. We had a drink in the American Bar before retiring and Angel was most helpful. The best kept secret in the hotel is the American Bar breakfast. Eric was very accommodating and attentive to our needs. Another of my favorite London hotels. As the title says it oozes charm and I love the historic bar with the airplanes hanging from the ceiling I am in London at least four times a year and the Stafford is always a great choice as one of my homes away from home

The Stafford must have been plucked out of the countryside and plonked into the heart of London. So if you don't like that countryside type of hotel then this is not for you. Everything quite tight but has a great bar and outside sitting area if weather permitting.

We lived in London for a long time recently and enjoyed having drinks in the iconic American Bar several times. When we decided to return to London for a special occasion, we decided to stay at the Stafford. Our three nights there were truly special - some of the best (and most cheerful) service we've encountered anywhere, a smallish but...

I stayed at the Stafford for the first time while in London for business recently and enjoyed its classic approach. Staying in St. James's

Neighbourhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
