We stayed a week in the Langham Hotel for our week in London. Excellent room and the most amazing breakfast room on the third floor. The fresh flowers each morning in the lobby...I took several pictures of them! The doormen were beyond courteous! Always helpful and amazingly informative. The restaurants and especially the award winning bar were terrific. Using the...

Over three decades, I have tried almost every luxury hotel in London (Claridges, Dorchester, Ritz, Savoy, etc.) and also am a big fan of the Firmdale boutique hotels (Ham Yard, Haymarket, Soho, etc). Even when compared with those exemplars of hospitality, The Langham comes in first. A recent tube strike had us moving from The Knightsbridge (Firmdale) to The Langham...

This historic hotel, the favorite of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, is luxurious. The staff is accommodating, and won't let you do anything for yourself. The breakfast in the Palm Court is fabulous! And the beds are divine to sleep in. The bar is usually crowded and noisy, and a popular spot for after work drinks. The concierge had been able...

I stayed at The Langham for 18 nights which is probably the longest I’ve stayed in any hotel so far. The first thing I have to mention is THE BED. Oh my god, the bed :) Normally I hate soft beds and I get a bad back after sleeping in one after a few days, but the beds they have...

I stayed at the Langham, London for two nights after being in Greece for a couple of weeks. It was the PERFECT place to relax after my vacation before flying home to NYC. Very Convenient location right on Regent street where there is great shopping. The Hotel is the Definition of Luxurious Elegance. The rooms are incredible and everything is...

This is a magnificent hotel and well worth visiting but I suppose I was expecting more. There were too many little things that weren't quite right. I was allocated a corner room which was cosy and comfortable, and reasonably spacious, but very poorly lit. There were no ceiling lights just four lamps around the room. The entrance was better lit,...

When I was younger much younger I've stayed in the Langham hotel in London several times. On those days I thought that this must be the best hotel I've ever been to. But after more than a decade I've came back and realize that things look to me now a little bit different. I not sure whether it me or...

This hotel is truly magnificent. Was lucky to stay here in its celebratory 150th year in the new Regents wing. The Langham blissful bed surely is true to its word and I've had the best nights sleep here. Excellent décor, with fab views. The Chuan spa is a hidden gem, afternoon tea in Palm court is superb, Drinks at Artesian,...

Took the opportunity for a last minute weekend stay at this beautiful iconic hotel. This is our second stay and we're delighted to see that everything is as wonderful as ever. From the minute you walk through the door you receive excellent service from the Doormen, Housekeeping who offer warm greetings when you see them around the hotel, and the...

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
