2021 Travellers' Choice Best of the Best
Renowned for its elegant central Piazza, charming independent market stalls, vibrant street performers, and for having some of the best luxury shopping and fine dining in the capital, not to mention being home to the world-famous Royal Opera House and West End theatres, Covent Garden is one of London's most enchanting and inspirational destinations. The Resident Covent Garden is just a 3-minute walk from the main central Piazza (and within a 5-minute walk from both Covent Garden and Charing Cross stations), providing an oasis of calm right in the heart of the action. It offers 57 stylish and thoughtfully designed contemporary bedrooms, each featuring bespoke furniture hand-made locally in West London, luxurious throws and cushions made from natural fibres woven on the Isle of Bute, Scotland, and special edition Paul Smith Anglepoise lamps, as part of the brand’s focus on quality British design and craftsmanship. They each also feature our signature in-room Mini Kitchen.

My wife and I spent this weekend in London and our stay in The Resident Hotel exceeded high expectations. I had spoken to Patricia on the phone and she had kindly upgraded our room and left a bottle of wine and chocolates in our room to welcome us. It made us feel extra special and glad we had chosen The Resident for this stay. Laura handled the check-in and the room was made available early which was an added bonus. Every member of staff we encountered including Deegii and Eva were friendly, responsive and genuinely cared about providing great service. The rooms are well designed and super clean with ample power points, USB ports, microwave, Nespresso machine and a well-lit bathroom with a powerful shower and bathtub. The sensor activated doors and covid measures throughout the hotel gave a sense of the team helping minimise risk in the current environment. The location of the hotel is incredibly convenient for Covent Garden and an extremely wide range of restaurants and shops. Thank you Patricia for the upgrade and goodies in the room the whole team for making us feel extra special

Dear ZahidMalti, Thank you for taking the time to post such a positive and detailed review on TripAdvisor following your recent stay at The Resident Covent Garden. I am thrilled to read that you had a fantastic time with us and found your room to your liking. All of our furniture are made in West London, our beautiful fabric is from Scotland, designed Paul Smith lamps and not to forget: our comfortable beds which are from The Bed Factory in Liverpool. I have passed on your wonderful comments to the team. They were so excited to know that you have mentioned them! We always aim at providing an outstanding service with a personal touch and I am so proud to be a part of this hard working team. ZahidMalti, once again thank you for your kind review and I am looking forward to welcoming you back. Kind regards, Bettina Hotel Manager

Great room, great location. Staff are amazing. I would name them all but they were all fantastic. We stayed in a superior room for reference. It was lovely and modern, lots of storage space which was great because we had a young baby and all the toys!!. Microwave and kitchenette is really helpful if you don't want to eat out everytime.

We had a really fantastic stay here we were welcomed with great smiles and even though we were early they had no problem in us checking in because the room was ready. When we asked for a king-size bed and not a twin because of a mixup with my online booking agent it was no problem at all and complimentary drinks were offered while we waited. They still offer their complimentary drinks around 5 to 6 o’clock in the evening but because of Covid they serve them safely to you in the room you just order them when you are ready it was so nice to have two glasses of Prosecco each evening. They were very helpful and check out storing our luggage and also ordering us a taxi just five star service. The room itself was spotlessly clean we enjoyed having the small kitchenette and it even had a little balcony. We would definitely come again as it is right in the heart of Covent Garden and easy to walk to the theatre and the many restaurants that are nearby plus the shops.

The hotel really is perfectly placed for the main sightseeing things in London, transport links are all short walk away. But the main reason for great review is the kind and helpful staff which made our visit. Due to covid no bar was running, so had complimentary drinks, it was abit showery so they lent us a brolly while we stayed there. The room was great, handy kitchen area and a great shower, and air con, very comfy bed aswell. So cannot really fault it for a stay, and will be returning.
