I have made a reservation via Expedia.com.hk about 2-3 weeks before my stay and have selected the option to pay upon check-in. However, when I arrived Presidential Apartments, the front-desk staff tells me they have canceled my reservation because somehow my credit card could not be processed for a pre-authorization charge. Nevertheless, I have not been contacted, neither via phone...

We booked this apartment through our agent. Fantastic location- stone's throw from Earl's court metro station with plenty of taverns/pubs and eateries. Check in was hassle free. Coming from India, corresponding prices would get us luxury back home, but we were informed about the room sizes in Europe. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and reasonable sized. Our studio was...

Positives: location. Negatives: cheap and shoddy fixtures and fittings, discovered when I got locked in the bathroom because the door handle came off in my hand. Not clean, discovered when I slightly knocked a lamp and nearly had an asthma attack with the amount of dust pouring on my head. Cold, with dodgy heating, which cannot be fixed by reception...

Check in process was speedy. Kitchen well-equipped. Was staying at the king suite. A little cram if you have a few luggage. Breakfast was sufficient but average. Suggestion- buy some eggs on your own and cooK them to add on to the breakfast provided. Toilet is a little worn out.

I booked this apartment because of the reviews and the fact it was an apartment with facilities to wash clothes and cook meals, x. I don't know if we struck a bad room or what happened because all the reviews are still positive but our stay was not good. Yes it is very handy to Earls Court and bus stops,...

Stayed here last weekend with nine friends and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We booked two apartments and they were just as described, if not better! The beds and pull out sofabeds were very comfy, the kitchens were well stocked and the apartments warm and spotless. The staff were a pleasure to deal with; friendly, fun and courteous. We...

We stayed 6 nights, right in the Earl's Court area and minutes to good transport links. Easy walking to Kensington Palace, Hyde Park and Buckingham Palace beyond. Good staff and very helpful. Would certainly stay here again. Room was great size and able to do your own washing in the room and eat your own breakfast was good if needed....

What a lovely place. Me and my husband had a fantastic 6 night stay to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We stayed in an executive studio with courtyard. We cannot fault the apartment. It was tended to regularly and was spotless. It had everything we needed for our stay. The staff were all very friendly and polite. Michael was a...

Like everyone else has mentioned, this property is well located and easily accessible. The rooms are modernly designed, clean and neat. I stayed there for 8 days in a triple room and unfortunately was given a "suite with patio" as no other triple rooms were available. While roomier than the above-ground triple room (which we were later given when we...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
