It wasn't great, but it wasn't awful either. I think my opinion my actually be coloured by the fact that when I arrived there was a lady arguing with the staff that her room hadn't been cleaned. On checking into mine I have to say it could have been cleaner, but to be fare they did send someone up to...

This is an excellent hotel. Great location within very easy walk to Tower Hill underground and round the corner from DLR, Tower Bridge and Tower of London. Staff are very friendly and welcoming and the hotel is very clean. Stayed here loads of times and have never been disappointed.

We have returned to this hotel as we found it to be a perfect place to stay on our trips to London. We were again greeted by polite and friendly reception team and our booking in was both quick and friendly. Our rooms were clean and bright and we all slept well.

We decided to book here for 2 nights in london, mainly due to to cost £160 for 2 nights for 2 adults = bargain. We planned to do a lot of tourist attractions so did not plan on spending much time in the hotel. Staff all friendly, slight queue on arrival but nothing to complain about. Rooms are small, and...

I've stayed in better Travelodges. This one had a tiny tv in the rooms and a slightly dated bathroom. Travelodge Covent Garden is much better if you can get it, its more modern looking, bigger tv's and about the same price generally.

You only get what you pay for and this is not being disrepectful to Travelodge. Great room rate from a good chain in a great city centre location. Breakfast available on site at a price. Handly location for tower bridge - 10 min walk - and onto the south bank of the thames. Close too to Tower Hill tube station...

Staying in Whitechapel

Neighbourhood Profile
Whitechapel
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.
