Treated myself and a friend to a last minute spa deal in Liverpool . We managed a morning slot last minute. We were met by Josie the manager first thing . She was so friendly and relaxing , explaining how our morning would look . Nothing was rushed all very calming . We had beautiful treatments from Adele & Emma once again so professional. Then spent time in the spa area which was small but clean & perfect , finished with a glass of Prosecco. I would definitely recommend this spa ( visited a lot my time ) all for a very reasonable price ..

Really enjoyed my stay. Had been worried by bad reviews and nearly changed our booking. Glad I didn't. Positives include quick check in, diamond status upgrade, huge immaculate suite and great location near to Waterfront. Parking is in NCP 2 minute walk away. Very good breakfast. Negative is that it costs £25 for Spa, £15 for Gold and Diamonds. I only had a free hour and wasn't going to spend £15 for a quick swim but others may be happy to pay. Others have commented on quirky layout - it's a very old building so what do you expect.

Really disappointed with this DoubleTree Hotel. In my opinion it falls way below Doinle Tree standard. The room was dark, window unable to open and ac unit rattled all night and cooling fan variation on the unit didn’t work. The room I stayed in was an upgraded superior king room! It felt old, baron, room was tired and carpets dirty. Way below par! Avoid and head over to Hilton in Liverpool One for not much more!

Lovely hotel, good gym, great breakfast, useful location, nice staff and cozy bed. Stayed for one night and was given the disabled room on the top floor. The view wasn't great but the room was lovely. The restaurant was also pretty good in the evening

Stayed here after a wedding - rare night away without small children so looked forward to undisrupted rest. I’d have been better staying at home and woken multiple times by my own family - it would have been far nicer than what we had here! Our room on 4th floor overlooked a pretty seedy club. No issue really until you feel like you’re on the dance floor as your head hits the pillow. Music was so loud I could hear the words, and the base was vibrating everything. At 1.15am I called reception to see how long the music would last and was told it should have finished at 1am so wouldn’t be long. It stopped at 2am, followed by rowdy crowds leaving and then all the empty glass bottles being removed and wheeled down the street at half past. Said bottles were then collected by recycling at 5am so you can imagine the noise again, then as all goes quiet we had a fire alarm just after 8am which we decided was enough and just left. I literally could have cried. One opportunity to relax, money spent on staying with a brand we thought we could trust after previous doubletree experiences (not here). But stress, approx 4h sleep in total and while I appreciate they can’t account for external clubs they can invest in sound proofing better. Old windows on that side need extra glazing, I can’t believe it’s actually advertised as a tranquil hotel - it’s ridiculous and beyond a lie. So so disappointed, mentioned on check out how bad it had been and disruptive and they had absolutely no interest in discussing further or acknowledging comments. Just felt underhand and like they know but so what. Areas of the hotel looking tired, bathroom smelt stale, and needs a good repaint throughout when you look closer it’s pretty shabby. 2* purely because the bed was comfy. I just wish I’d been able to take advantage. Will never come back to this one and if all doubletrees are slipping in standards like this one it’s time to find a new hotel brand I can trust. We don’t get much time away so when we do I expect better than this!

We stayed here for nearly 2 weeks attending Intl BeatleWeek. We asked for adjoining rooms for my 84 yr old Mother in Law. Her room was on another floor (6th floor is split) and not close at all. Her phone didn’t work, couldn’t receive calls, took them 5 days to simply replace the phone. Her cooler/mini-fridge was broken, they had to replace it. Gym was dirty, we used it every day and it was never cleaned properly since construction years earlier. Room was very quiet, never heard any noise. Restaurant was excellent; both staff and food quality.

Amazing location! We could walk everywhere from the hotel and had such a lovely time exploring Albert Docks, the Cavern pub, and all other tourist attractions and museums. The owner was so lovely and all staff were very professional and friendly. The room was huge with a walk in closet and quiet at night for a good sleep. Breakfast was fantastic! With fresh hash brown which made my daughter very happy. Their granola is super tasty as well and fresh. Highly recommend!
