This was my first visit to the Royal Hotel and certainly would not be the last. Some friends and I come to Crosby once a year to attend an annual old school function and the Royal provides the perfect staging post to rest weary bodies after an abundance of banqueting. The hotel is very clean, although some parts of the...

We had a 2 night break and stayed in room 5. The room was very comfortable and quiet, which we had requested (the floor was a little creaky but that's a minor point) We loved the hotel bar, very welcoming & cosy. Breakfast was great & the staff were all friendly, we've already booked to go again in the summer!

Friendly hotel which is clean comfortable but traditional. There is not lift. So if you have a problem with stairs ask for a ground floor. I was on 2nd floor. Rm 24. Wooden floor carpeted. The odd squeak by the bed which was not a problem to me but may have irritated the floor below. The ensuite bathroom is immaculate...

We recently had cause to stay at the Royal for a family get together. The staff prepared us a lovely buffet, special mention for the Greek salad very good with drinks. Our room was spacious and comfortable, it was only for one night with a varied breakfast of juices, toast, cereals, yogurts, full English or lots of other hot choices....

Stayed for 2 nights. The Royal is in the perfect place for visiting Anthony Gormley's 'Another Place' and only 10-15 mins drive from the rejuvenated dock areas of Liverpool including the Tate. The hotel rooms are modern and clean with a very pleasant en suite. The staff were very pleasant and service good, although my comments about a problem with...

We visit the Royal Hotel once every couple of months for a meal. Since our last visit they have a new chef. The food was amazing. Everything was cooked to perfection. The food was always good but now it is a different level. It was outstanding. Also, the attention from Tom our waiter was superb. He was a credit to...

From the moment we arrived all the staff were charming, helpful and efficient. We could find no faults to share which is rare these days. The hotel is traditional in style and therefore comfortable if somewhat dated in the room BUT the beds were comfortable, the room temperature adjustable, lighting good, bathroom large, clean and user friendly. We were in...

Hi. I was looking for,a smaller friendly non chain hotel as I now have to stay regularly in Liverpool for work. I booked a stay here, but came down with flu the day before. On my booking confirmation which comes through a travel company the cancellation said - day before. Unfortunately the policy is 12noon on the day before. I...

The hotel is very clean and the room was very pleasant, my naighbours however were extremely noisy and the walls appear very thin. I reported this arguing mum and daughter 3 times and although they spoke to them this continued until they left for there night out. When I reported it the 3rd time I did request a room change...
