You couldn't fault the service, beer offered on arrival, nothing seemed to be too much trouble BUT overpriced considering what you can get elsewhere for the same amount of money. We stayed in a family room, bathroom had no door and our 17 month old pulled out a bottle of domestos from the bathroom cupboard! Imagine our shock when we...

We stayed three days at John & Ann B&B .... And we keep an excellent memory. English style and elegance. John beyond being a true gentleman, is a great host, increasing his attention to its guests. His fabulous breakfast (special dedicace for the Nutella and french croissant). If you need something and especially to spend a very good time in...

We were provided with excellent service in our stay at The Real McCoy. We arrived a lot later than expected on Friday night (after a delayed rental car with Europcar) yet John was there to welcome and show us to our rooms. He even made us all a cuppa! Each morning we were treated to a home cooked breakfast and...

We arrived early at The Real McCoy, where we were made welcome with offers of drinks. We were then shown to our room which was a double with en-suite. Very clean and fresh. Fantastic full English breakfast with un-limited tea/coffee. There is a bus stop just outside the guest house which takes you into the city every half an hour....

Paid £35 for one night for a single, non-ensuite room with breakfast. Hosts are friendly and welcoming, but I specified vegetarian breakfast when booking yet was brought non-veg (very off-putting for me as Muslim), and when I returned it I was given scrambled eggs but without any seasoning, and no salt on the table. Couldn't finish it because it was...

We arrived at The Real McCoy, where we had booked a standard double en suite room, to a very warm welcome from our hosts, despite being a little late. We were shown into the garden and invited to have a beverage with them in the sun, as they told us a little bit of local history and this made us...

We arrived at 8am and were greeted by John & Ann McCoy who took us straight to the dining room for breakfast, (which was absolutely brilliant) They were really friendly & made us feel like one of the family, we sat chatting for ages. Afterwards we were shown to our bedroom (number 4), the bed is possibly the best bed...

Absolutely loved my stay in the Real McCoy Guest House. Ann and John McCoy are real gems who make you feel so welcome and ensure that your stay in Liverpool is a great one. In their house, you feel as if you are staying at a home away from home, and I was always looking forward to returning to the...
