Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Does what it says on the tin. Usually I am a hotel fan. No less than Premier Inn as random places usually freak me out when it comes to sleep. However.... summer holidays and kids means a hotel wasn't doable at summer prices. We looked at this hostel for here and also York.... and I'm glad we did. Rooms are enough. Clean bedding and comfy. Bunk bed I had with my youngest was noisy as hell, but it did the job. We had a shower and toilet. Staff were lovely, welcoming and eager to please. Good location. Decent breakfast for a fee. Games in the communal area to use as well as a kitchen. High reccomend if you are on a budget.

Booked a private room for 5 of us in the family. Parking is great and off the street. Location is great with it being so close to the Albert Dock and about a 10 min walk to the main city centre. Our room had 3 sets of bunk beds and a toilet and separate shower. The room and bathroom were basic but very clean! There are wall plugs and night lights next to every bed. The corridors and social areas are well decorated with local famous pictures etc. We didnt use the kitchen or any of the social areas so cant rate them. we found it to be fantastic value for money. Overall 10/10 from us.

I chose YHA Albert docks because I've been there once before 2 years ago. I ride a motorcycle and it's a very secure place as all the gates are closed/locked overnight I would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff especially James, Poppy and Craig who were very accommodating and only too pleased to help whenever I enquired. The hostel itself is spotless the rooms are excellent the self catering is more than adequate all round a fantastic place to stay. I've included a few photographs of the hostel and also of the Albert docks in all its glory. Thanks for making my stay so enjoyable and relaxing. Kind regards Stephen Anthony O'Donnell.

One night overnight stay as stopover for a family of 5 in a six-bedded room with ensuite. What I liked - 1. Location 5-10 mins walk to Albert Dock 2. Spotlessly clean room 3. Friendly staff 4. On-site parking Should be improved - · Not sure if this is a one-off issue but there was no hot water in shower

Spotlessly clean, however no hot water! Reception staff were lovely but even after the boiler was reset, it was still cold. I only stayed one night so it wasn’t the end of the world. I’d stay again as it was very comfortable, close to the Docks & clean. I’d keep my fingers crossed that the boiler worked next time!

Great YHA, great location, 5/10 minute walk to Albert dock and Liverpool one. Slightly disappointed there were no evening meals especially when it said there were on the web site. The staff were really friendly. We had a great stay. Great themed yha

Nice clean place to stay. We stopped for one night on our way to Wales. It was a very pleasant hotel. The kids loved the giant beanbags outside. Breakfast was very nice also. We had a lovely walk along to Albert Dock. Nice friendly staff. Parking available too.

Stayed here for a gig to see Liam Gallagher in Nov 2019. The location of the hostel was legit just round the corner from the gig, so very handy for us. I will certainly be staying here again for other trips to liverpool, super cheap, clean and friendly staff. £40 for four people, bargain. Will be back!
