Decorated nice, food was fine. Need more staff on the bar. The older woman serving was miserable. It's gonna be busy with an all inclusive bar. She needs to realise that we have already paid for the drinks and not have a face like a smacked backside! Isn't it sad how a few staff an put a damper on the... More

The Devonshire House Hotel is a peaceful oasis in an urban area, close to all of the amenities of Liverpool. The room was spacious and comfortable and the hotel is set in pleasant grounds. Breakfast is help yourself buffet and there is a reasonable choice of cooked items. All in all. good value for money, and a great base from... More

This Hotel is very well signposted I found it easy even without my satnav. Upon arrival I found the staff to be friendly and check in was very easy, As others have already said on the reviews here the hotel could do with a lick of paint and a bit of TLC, but to be honest we found our room... More

Booked for one night and was glad that it was only one night. Looked ok from the outside but once past reception found that it was tired and a bit run down! Needs lots of TLC to bring it up to standard. The room I had was smelly. I'm sure someone had been smoking in the room (I am an... More

This place is awful, Reception looks great but if you look closer is quite dirty, Rooms are clean but beds are so uncomfortable , like sleeping on wood, room was freezing cold and draft coming in through windows was crazy. Breakfast was a joke also. This place is terrible we didn't get any sleep at all

Stayed here with my father as a family member was in the heart and chest hospital in Liverpool. From the outside the place looks brilliantly well looked after with stunning grounds. Front desk were more than polite and welcoming and sorted us out in no time upon arrival. The stairway to each level was well down dated and smelly. The... More

The hotel is cheap, but the distance from the city centre is a bit too far to be called centrally located (3-3,5 km). The rooms are spacious for British standard, rooms are clean, but the hotel facilities are old and our room was far from today's standard. This is an ok hotel if you want a cheap hotel and don't...
