I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, on entry we were greeting by a nice American receptionist and he helped us with anything we needed to know, there is a £50 per person deposit but with it been a couple were only charged for 1 person . The interior is full of football nostalgia from the late great Dixie dean himself. Our room was quite a size with two beds and two large sofas and jacuzzi bathroom to add. The area is close to everything from Mathew street ,Beatles club the cavern (loved it) and short walk to the docks ,we did not do everything but will return again definitely hopefully back this hotel . Thank you for having us .

We live in Liverpool and have drove past the hotel many a time, I won’t lie it’s not a hotel I’v ever wanted to stay in as I associate signature living hotels with rowdy hen/stag parties or loud roof top events full of drunken teenagers/trouble causers and pretentious wannabes. That being said I’d heard that The Dixie was under new management and a beautiful hotel to stay in plus my partner is a huge Everton fan, as was his Father who sadly passed earlier this year, so I wanted to make this Fathers Day a special one, in a place that has a special connection to a club they both loved. On entrance we were very surprised by the luxurious yet traditional feel to the place. Stunning original features of the Grade 2 listed building mixed with plush royal blue furniture and Everton facts/statues/photographs and a beautiful candlelit Hillsborough memorial wall. We were then greeted at check in by a gentleman named Miguel who was a delight, very pleasant, knowledgeable and accommodating. He explained that the restaurant was closed but for breakfast ( shame as Iv heard the restaurant is delicious) but if we wanted anything from the bar to let him know and he would serve us. Every member of staff we encountered were friendly. The housekeeping team clearly take pride in their work as the whole front of house and corridors were spotless. We stayed in the presidential suite on the third floor. The room was lovely. Very spacious for a double. We loved all the original features in the room, solid wooden beams and ironwork and original sash windows…traditional mixed again with luxurious gold furnishings. My only critique of the room was a slight damp smell,I guess only to be expected from a 150 year old building. This was soon sorted by opening the windows and turning on the air vent. Everything else was spotless, big fluffy white towels, crisp bedding and super comfy bed. The TV is free view but does have a USB port if you wanted to bring a fire stick to watch Netflix etc. The jacuzzi in the window was different…you definitely need to close the blinds over or everyone in the neighbouring buildings will get more than a eye full haha. We had a 10/10 sleep, not to noisy( I kept the windows open all night and slept right through to 8.30am. Honestly, I couldn’t fault our stay. We will definitely be back for another kid free night staycation.

Stayed 3 nights for a family reunion and wedding in Liverpool. Central to everything that Liverpool has to offer and the staff was the most accommodating, friendly people I have ever experienced in many years of travelling. The hotel itself is top notch. The Manager, Melanie was fantastic and very attentive to guests needs. Hotel has a true Liverpudlian vibe and a delight for Everton supporters due to it’s ties its namesake but they are welcoming to all supporters…even that other team!

My room was Sumptuous. The staff highly professional, courteous at all times. Clearly trained to have pride in their roles. A beautiful interior and facade exterior. Testament to the structural beauty of Liverpool. The sympathetic decor reflecting the eras was comforting and well maintained.

An Outstanding hotel. The staff are brilliant, extremely accommodating at all hours! Allowed us to check in early and check out late. Although late check out came at a cost, we were happy to pay to enable us to stay longer. Had a fantastic time. The lobby and bar area were lovely. Room was huge!

Went to Liverpool for cousin’s hen do. The room was beautiful and very clean. Great location also. However, the best thing about the hotel is the staff - everyone was so friendly and happy to help. We had an issue with one of the events they helped organise and resolved it straight away with comped table/ drinks at club that evening. Really recommend them if you are planning a trip to Liverpool.

Prior to arrival rang reception to enquire about parking. The lady on reception was really helpful. Check in was really quick and the man in reception was friendly, informative and told us we had been moved to a larger room than we had booked. The room was clean and well maintained with all amenities that you would expect from this level of hotel. Later on in the evening my 15 year old daughter was in reception waiting for a good order to arrive and the 2 men on reception were very friendly with her, chatting to her and having a laugh with her. They also asked some drunken guests to leave her alone. On check out the lady (Melanie) was extremely friendly, checked everything was OK with our stay and asked about our plans for the day and if we had a long journey ahead. Will definitely return. The room was excellent value for money and was a great central base for our plans.
