Would give 0 stars if possible this establishment cancelled my April booking despite advertising that they would be reopen then. Can only guess its because its grand national weekend and they want more money for the room. Sent message to discuss but they don't respond to those either - avoid if you don't want to be disappointed!
We have previously stayed at Sleep Eat Love on 2 separate occasions and had a good stay each time. Therefore when we were looking to book accommodation in March, to allow us to attend an event at the Arena in October, Sleep Eat Love was the obvious choice as it had a family room available and was a little bit cheaper than some other alternatives. However we’ve recently received an email completely out of the blue just a month before we’re due to stay (and after buying tickets for the event) to say that the booking has been cancelled as the hotel will not be open due to “health and safety concerns in the area.” No apology, no alternative accommodation offered. Just a “we’ve cancelled your reservation without penalty” as though they’re doing me a favour! If they were not planning on being open due to the pandemic then why sell the room? The covid situation now is considerably better than it was at the time of booking when they were quite happy to accept the reservation! To compound matters all other reasonably priced hotels are now booked up which leaves us with the option of not attending the gig and losing the £150 spent on tickets or alternatively getting a late night train back to Manchester with 2 young girls. I’ve sent Sleep Eat Love a couple of messages via Booking.com to give them the opportunity to explain what has happened and see if they could offer an alternative option (as a hotel in Greece recently did when we had been double booked there) but they’ve not even had the decency to reply. Very poor.…
Stayed here for my 30th birthday in a private room. Clean and comfortable room. Good price. Shower was amazing!! Ground floor rooms available and handy with the restaurant next door to. Staff very helpful and friendly Charlotte was great on checl out. Definately stay here again.
Booked as a last minute due to train home being cancelled. Reception staff friendly. Got to my allocated room which was a double room, and the room hadn’t been cleaned from the night before. Bed sheets were in a mess and bin was full of rubbish. Went back to reception who gave me a refund as they had no other rooms available. Wouldn’t recommend.
I've staid here few times now. Staff at reception lovely helpful. Even checked in 4 hours earlier with no extra charge. Sometimes you can have dorm to yourself 2 nights I did was great. Dorms are clean and modern beds comfy and big towels included in your stay a rarety in Hostals. The thing that let's this place down is the homeless people and and strays that are staying in the hostal. The noise and lack of respect. Even I left things in the fridge which they seemed to help themselfs too. Not on really. Even had my milk away. It's a shame as it is modern and clean with nice ajoinjng cafe. I think now it's time to delete the homeless from hostal or least have separate area for them where paying guest dont have to listen to there constant noise of banging doors and gatherings outside. Am sure other guest that stay here feel the same way.…
Amazing place to stay. Very friendly. Your made to feel really welcoming and the staff will go that extra mile to help you with your stay. I'd definitely recommend sleep eat love to anyway. And Erin on reception is fantastic
My friends and I booked to stay as it was cheep, when we arrived to liverpool lime street we walked to the hotel as it's only a 8 minute walk away. We all checked in the receptionist Erin was a great help and so friendly. Our rooms where on the small side but very clean. We will be returning to sleep eat love ...soon
Will never stay in this hotel again my first experience of staying in this place we came across a Ecstasy tablets on the bed side table handed this to staff who didn’t seem alarmed, I did email them with no reply, but we thought we would give the place another chance the second was two nights of hell, people running up and down the corridors, corridor fire door slamming every time someone use them that kept us awake or woke us every time it closed vibrating in our room, a group of men arguing in the picnic room that was across from our room early in the morning, room window was broken and all we could hear all night was the seagulls on the window ledge, we did ask if we could be moved to a quite room but none available, one good thing to report the breakfast was delicious, our friends got moved to three different rooms has two rooms had not been cleaned.…
So my partner and I booked a double room, private bathroom with low expectations. We entered our room to discover blood all over the bathroom door and handle and a blocked toilet (not pretty). The fella on reception in fairness was lovely - moved us, upgraded us and gave us 50% of our fee back. However, no fault of his but the shower in the room we were moved to didn’t work - at all and the noise from outside was incessant all night. I wouldn’t stay here again but the customer service from the guy who checked us in was really great!
Not more than 8-10 minutes walk from the rail station. Easy to find. 24 hour access. Excellent staff. My single room with own shower toilet was fine. Bed was comfortable. Cater for persons with disabilities. WiFi. Kitchen where you can make a drink. All in all I enjoyed my stay and would stay again. Cafe serving excellent meals and coffee.
