We stayed one night with family. We paid £105 for each room with breakfast, when other members of the family paid £90 for exactly the same because they booked earlier. I wouldn't object to this pricing strategy but I did not feel we got value for money, as quite a few things were below par for >£100. The receptionist who...

While we were staying in the area with friends we visited the Fieldhead on a Sunday evening, the restaurant was not busy, some of the staff were cheerful and friendly,as for the meal it was just average.

Like the curate's egg, some good bits and some not so good. The accommodation was pretty standard but looked tired, particularly the bathroom. The placing of the bedside lights meant that it was impossible to read in bed. As for the food, it was adequate rather than exciting, the sea bass and scallop risotto being a particular disappointment. At breakfast,...

As I understand it,the hotel has recently been refurbished to what appears to be quite a high standard. My only criticism would be that It might have been nice if a member of staff had...

Fab room and for standard size was extremely comfortable, warm and very quiet. Bathroom facilities were great with lovely and plentiful white fluffy towels. Great choice options to eat for breakfast and dinner.

I booked here to take my mother for mothers day dinner, staff were friendly, very disappointing dinner though, the options were, half chicken, beef, pork loin, beef and pork, I opted for beef and pork, one small slice of beef, and a very small slice of pork, no bigger than the palm of my hand, come on! a slice and...

Visited for dinner with a colleague, and above average and expectations. Nice surrounding, good menu and tasty/fresh meal. Am used to staying an eating in regular chain hotels and restaurants, this was a welcome and refreshing change to the norm. Would visit again, possibly also stay in the hotel.

Called in here today for a Sunday Lunch as we had been told the place had been recently renovated. Apart from the main entrance door binding, and some new wallpaper I didn't notice very much difference from the last time I visited a few years ago. There were quite a few people seated and already eating, but the place didn't...
