Excellent hotel. Lovely clean room with a great shower. Excellent service on arrival, quick check in and express check out. Would always be my first choice of hotel in Leicestershire. Only wish would be that the parking was free for people with a room

Hotel's Favourite
Pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness inside after walking through the automatic doors into the foyer seeing the cracked floor tiles and debris and looking generally grubby. The room was fine, carpet was clean and the room spotless - well done to the hardworking housekeeping team! Breakfast was very nice - a special mention to our lovely, friendly breakfast server, who incidentally cooked my perfect fried eggs on request (and I'm so sorry I never asked/got his name - what a great team member!) I went over to reception midway through breakfast (approx 09 15 - Sunday 20th) to ask for change of a £10 note, so I could reward said breakfast server, but I found the chap in a suit behind the desk very, very unhelpful, first saying he had no £5 notes, so then I asked for £2 or £1 coins, and without looking in the till he said he didn't have any either, I looked at him in disbelief and then he finally opened the till and said he only has 20p and 5p pieces! Sadly and with regret, it is for this reason only that I give 1 star for service!

As a Diamond member I feel that I have to make a comment on this hotel experience. I do not take any pleasure in saying this but this hotel should not bear the Hilton name. With that being said, the staff were professional and provided exceptional service. The hotel is dated and from our experience, extremely filthy. The uncleanliness ranged from makeup smeared on the walls, food smeared on the desk chair, soiled carpets and sofa, used toiletries and a bathroom with dirt & mold on walls and floor full of hair. I share this information not to be an angry or uptight previous guest but to inform you on what we had encountered.

Worst experience of my life… stayed in many Hilton’s this was awful… no air conditioning 1 fan on the hottest day of the year in a family delux room!! Bathroom was vile .. draws, cuboards dirty , windows had black crap around it … people smoking in the rooms… weed!!! No food for children on 24hr menu… Watered down drinks! No one answers the phone … The list is endless….

My family stayed here one night en route to our holiday. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We used the swimming pool, (which you will need to book in advance). We also had dinner in the bar. Three of us ordered pizza which was very good. The bar staff were a bit short handed, but we did not have to wait too long to be served, so well done to them. Also, the reception at the leisure facility were very helpful when we got locked out of our locker for the pool. Breakfast was good and the staff were careful to keep everything safe and socially distant. I'd read some previous reviews before booking and some people commented that the furniture looked a bit dated. Perhaps this is a bit true, but it was still clean and in perfectly good working order. I think, considering the environmental impact of acquiring new furniture, the furniture is fine and should not be replaced.
