We recently booked a stay at The Kenley after friends of ours had stayed there a couple of years previously. The B&B was actually closed for renovations to the bar area, but we said we didn't mind If they didn't.

I believe the rates are very fair. I've stayed in many places - hotels, self catering, bed and breakfasts and The Kenley really does stand out - especially comfort and value . From the moment my parents and I arrived, we were made to feel so welcome. We were offered tea and cake before we checked in to our rooms. Mark helped my parents with their luggage to their room. The rooms are of a very high standard. My parents stayed in the Luxury Super King room on the 1st floor. It has a 6ft Super King size bed with a memory foam mattress. The bedding, pillows, carpets, curtains and furniture are very high quality. Also the complimentary items are very high quality - toiletries, beverages, chocolates etc. There are also dressing gowns, slippers and super soft towels to take advantage of. The quality and quantity at breakfast is incredible. Mark who is the owner is also a chef (and a very good one at that!) and has his own restaurant. At checkout, we were also given goody bags for our journey home - plenty of items including fruit, water, chocolate and crisps! Mark and Josie are a genuinely nice couple. Friendly, attentive, genuine. As I've said, I've stayed in many places - including those that charged much higher rates than The Kenley and they came nowhere near to this place in terms of comfort, quality and customer service. I would heartily recommend! :)
