We booked a double room, bed and breakfast, for one night at this hotel last Sunday through booking.com, as it had a high rating and a very good rating on this site too. We arrived on Saturday afternoon 22nd April in the afternoon to be greeted by Chris, who told us that the oven was broken and so there would...

Gary and Jill were very friendly and welcoming and they really take care of their hotel. The hotel is situated in a great location nearby the Tower, the city centre, the piers and all the promenade attractions. We...

Good: Friendly hosts, good breakfast, comfortable bed, close to city center, nice common area with TV, good value for money, pub downstairs with nice people Bad: Noisy rooms, small shower, shower temperature unstable (very cold or very hot), no fridge, old TV, no "no disturb" signs, unstable/slow internet

Just arrived back after a 2 night stay, first impression from outside is it looks dated. But not too bad when inside. Although the rooms are lovely and clean they are basic and could do with a touch up, i'm really not fussy and believe you get what you pay for but tweaking things should come as standard. The shower...
